With all of the talk of Ron Paul’s foreign policy, we wanted to know what is the most dangerous threat to the United States today. As usual, we go to the finest gathering of conservatives minds found on the internet. We go to Free Republic. We would love to know if Iran is the greatest threat. Is China the greatest threat? Is Barack Obama and the Democrat Party the greatest threat? Or is it the Republican Establishment that’s the greatest threat?

I just came from a dinner party where I took it upon myself to ‘bring people up to speed’ i.e. clarify all the media spin etc that’s going on. An hour and a half combating mild to sheer stupidity. Statism in any form is the most dangerous threat. The most immediate of the statist threats is the one headquartered in Washington, D.C.. The founding fathers knew it at the inception of the nation. They were right then and they're still right now. Americans have suffered a greater loss of liberty and wealth at the hand of the U.S. Federal Government than our founding fathers ever did at the hand of King George.
