The days of unbiased reporting are well behind us. What we have now are news agencies who are bent on furthering a political agenda.
Proof positive comes in the form of a Reuters story with a somewhat confusing title: Alabama immigration law decried, applauded as some flee state. (Click here for original story)
The title is somewhat ambiguous as to who is decrying and who is applauding but the article leaves little doubt as to the ideological leanings of the author(s):
(Reuters) A climate of fear and panic has taken hold in Alabamas immigrant community since a federal judge let stand much of the nations toughest state crackdown on illegal immigration, advocates say.
A climate of fear and panic
Reuters is portraying Alabamas law as a crackdown on all immigrants irrespective of their immigration status. We are given the image of families running for their lives grabbing what meager belongings they have as they flee under cover of darkness from government forces:
Farm laborers have picked up their checks and headed out of town. Parents have pulled their children out of school or put in place emergency plans for their care should the parents be detained or deported for lacking proof of citizenship.
People are just taking off without knowing where they are going, said Rosa Toussaint-Ortiz, co-chairwoman of the Hispanic/Latino Advisory Committee in Huntsville. They even own houses and are abandoning them. They are leaving their stuff behind.

simply means Alabama is doing a fine job. being vilified by the rats and the zombies is high praise.

HELL YES! I can see some mobs, riots, etc if California did this or the Feds did their job. There were gangs of illegals dairing the cops to arrest them in Arizona when they passed their law. I would love to see the cops actually tackle, taze, pepper spray, and make these creeps kiss pavement if/when they try it. They can have their little Mexican communist invasion rallies back in Mexico
That is so racist.
Don’t know what part of Florida you’re at Lex.
Where I am, fairly close to the big lake, farming interests have more undocumented and illegals than you can round up.
In orlando where the tourista industry relies on cheap illegal labor for the maids, wait staff and general flunkies at all the plastic shopping interests.
But I’d love to see them all rounded up and sent packing.
Those on welfare, get a pickers job or make beds at some hotel.
I’m tirred of subsidizing the world/
Ping!
Those leftists can go rot.
