I liked that one. It sounded like a lot better use of the ukeleles. The vocals were a little funny at first but he was in the zone.
Its all subjective, but I liked this one.
Thanks

Wow!... most of all the replys to this post have scoffed at social conservatism. That in its self speeks volumes!

Dave Grohl’s Foo Fighters are ten times the band Nirvana ever was.

Nirvana was a breath of fresh air at the time. Finally the vapid hair band was shown the door.

People said the same thing about "The Knack" when "Get the Knack" came out at the height of disco.

Beavis: Whoa these chicks are hot
Butthead: Are these chicks or dudes?
Beavis: Whoa,I don't know
Butthead: Well they better be chicks dammit because they're giving me a woody.

I used to be acquainted with the Dead Kennedy’s producer and other music people.

Grunge was as necessary as Punk - somebody has to bury the dead, musically speaking.

Saw them last week best concert ever. I also saw Nirvana three times. If fact this post reminds me of last week when the foo fighters sang to the Westboro Baptist Church.

Also like the work Dave did with Queens of the Stone Age, and Them Crooked Vultures.

Very good!!LOL

Sorry if loving my Rock-n-Roll is sending me to hell then I guess I’m going.
I speak to God frequently, and believe in His Son, Jesus, as my Savior. He has so far not indicated to me that liking one particular type of music over another is endangering my relationship with Him.
The music has not and does not control my life, or affect the decisions I make. It has never influenced my knowledge of what is right and wrong. It has never made me want to go out and kill anyone, or commit suicide.
A poster made a comment about not liking “Nickelback” earlier. Sorry I like them, and 3 Doors Down, Linkin Park and Evanescance (especially Amy Lee), as well as all the older music. They aren’t Led Zeppelin but no one ever will be.
I love Hair Band music. Sorry if that offends some music purists, but scrape away the Aquanet, and there was, in my opinion, some amazing music made in the 80s.
I even like a lot of 70s music, including some (gasp) Disco! (Oh the horror!).
Nirvana was a minor blip on the music scene in the 90s. Led by a pouting self indulgent, obviously troubled young man. As far as “Grunge” I thought Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Temple of the Dog were better musically.
Nirvana is not destroying western civilization. While I do think Rap has a problem (Songs about shooting MFers in the face, and raping B*tches, and killing cops, aren’t music to me), and I wonder what happened to the great black musicians (Smokey Robinson, Earth Wind & Fire), I still think music is music, and rational thinking people get their morals, and ethics elsewhere.
JMHO

I was a republican growing up.

Listening to early RUSH (the band!) and especially 2112 turned me into a Conservative in college.

I take their lyrics regarding God and faith in the sense that they (well, Neil Peart anyway!) are still on a journey.

I love the DOORS as well. And for that - well, I just hope I can get to Communion one last time! (Hey - some of the songs I do turn off when my kids are int he truck!).
