Consider what the successful October demonstration of “cold fusion” is going to do to oil stock prices.

Didn’t Noah preach about an hundred years before the rains came? I’m not saying that Gerald Celente is a Noah, but if no one listened to Noah, I’m certain ordinary men will have their critics. The fundamentals indicate there will not be a recovery for some time. The fact is, that people want to be free, not quasi-free. The luster of freedom only lasts so long, and the fact is that when people can’t have basic property rights, they really have no rights.

Agreed. No one is perfect, but he’s an expert at recognizing trends. Since trends/patterns/etc. are my own personal way of analyzing things, I look at him with a keen eye. There are things that that he says that I don’t agree with, and there are things that we differ on ideologically, but it’s a simple (yet difficult) matter to look at the relevant information, and predict a trend. The problem is, the mainstream world (not just media) loves to omit any information that doesn’t fit into their world view, and thus everything is “unexpected” and they are blindsided. Let him who has ears, hear, and him who has eyes, see. It’s as timely advice today as it was 2000 years ago.

Whether we agree with this guy’s timeline or not, we all know something wicked this way comes.

Since you know Celente can you put a bug in his ear about coming across as too acerbic in his interviews. I've downloaded and listened to many of his interviews over the past 2-3 years because I value his opinion and believe he has a good track record of seeing how trends are developing, but I've noticed he comes across in his interviews as increasingly acerbic, sharp-tongued, bordering on condescension in tone at times, which to me takes away from the important points in his message, which is well worth heeding.

That harsh, critical, talking down tone will turn a lot of people off to his message. I understand his level of frustration when he talks about all the idiocy going on in our government, economy, and the world, but he's letting that taint how his message is coming across to the public. Gerald is a really passionate guy and I think he, like many us, are having a hard time restraining ourselves when discussing these topics.

I totally agree and understand his frustration, I value his insight/message into future trends and events very much. I’m just concerned about the critical tone turning off some folks who are not use to his in your face communication style. His message needs to gain a much broader audience attention to make them aware of what’s barreling down the train tracks at them coming at full speed. Thanks.

I’m glad I’m of an age where I can recall starting out and everyone who knew more than I-and that was, of course EVERYONE, I was just starting out, talked as if they knew more than I. And, I listened respectfully and learned. Not enough of that anymore. People are offended by a raised eyebrow these days.

—These people predict doom and gloom so much that they have cried wolf.—

Actually, he’s been relatively accurate. That is the scary part. The real problem is that those that accuse them of “doom and gloom” don’t realize just what has gone down the last five years from an historical perspective.

I remember back in 2007 some said house prices could collapse as much as 20% and they were called “doom and gloomers”. Well, guess what? They were conservative in their estimates.

And that is the problem here. You do not see it because we all get used to it, but we are living what, just a few years ago, would have been called “doom and gloom”.

Look around you.

And it will be MUCH worse by this time next year. It is inevitable. They have run out of tricks that even give the appearance that things are better.

I’ll never forget that video with Schiff in 2006. It was a live telecast and he was one of several economists they asked if the drop in housing was a bubble collapse or just a small correction. He was the only one that said it was the bubble collapsing and the rest of them LAUGHED AT HIM ON LIVE TELEVISION.

Oh, and they now look like boobs and he was absolutely correct. And he was the only one that explained his position. His argument was that the fundamentals were pretty clear to anyone paying attention.

Same goes for our current situation. It really doesn’t take an “economist” to see what is going on. And this is most definitely international, as was the GD. Except the world is even more interconnected now.

The biggest moron on the Plant - that fool Stein laighed at Schiff and he still is on BOR as some type of well informed economist.

makes me sick how Schiff and Celente are treated when they have been the most accurate of all relative to these other fools.

—What he really means is it’s only a guess.—

...on the precise timing. He’s saying it is a “when” thing, not “if”, and it is not years away. It is a short term thing.

Think of it as a “five day forecast” sort of thing. If the weatherman is predicting hard rain for three of the next five days and “showers” for the other two, it is probably not a good week to plan a picnic. Probably...
