So, who is your candidate? We might as well stay home if Perry gets the nomination and have 4 more glorious years of the commie-in-chief. Yeah, that will teach the Republicans a thing or two.

I do find it interesting that the alleged do-nothing Rick Perry is portrayed by this blogger with this picture of Perry with Barack Obama:

The blogger, in his ignorance, probably thinks this suddenly conveys that Perry is a fan or pal of Obama and, therefore, a true RINO.

But this picture is Perry confronting Obama on an airport tarmac in Austin where he was demanding Obama answer him on what Obama was going to do about violence along the Mexican border.

Take a look at the expression on Perry's face. That doesn't look like a "Texas gives you a warm Howdy, Mr. President" look. That looks like a "I'm pissed off and I'm getting in your grill to demand an answer" look.

Publicity stunt? Possibly.

But it seems ironic that the doufus who wrote this blog showed a picture that undercuts his message.

I want a candidate that's unafraid to get in Obama's grill and demand answers. Yet the moron who wrote the blog thinks putting a stern-faced picture of Perry staring down Obama shows they are really Bilderberger pals who share the secret Harvard handshakes when nobody is watching because, well, why else would the two be caught in the same picture?

He’s also better than Romney... which is why I think he’s getting so much support.

was probably Made up your mind on assumption already. You'r a deep thinker.

Too few deep thinkers on FR these days - seems more like auseful toll, Kool-Aid laden group of newbies who are incapable of thought. They ask why Perry hasn't stated his stance on anything when the better question would be: "Why are we getting these questions now when nobody has asked Perry about them?" Another obvious hit piece and the morons jump on it as fact and don't bother to do any real thinking of their own.

I fear the liberal/socialist/mind-washing agenda has taken a terrible toll on our Nation.

Whoever gets the nomination...just like I was forced to vote for McCain in 2008. As far as the primaries, I simply think we need a conservative who’s tough on illegal immigration, not a flawless candidate, but a conservative candidate.

I’ve had 10 years to watch Perry here in Texas and he’s CLEARLY no better than Bush or Kay on illegal immigration, and only slightly better than McCain.

We can do better.

OK, here is another question: Will Perry give work visas to all the illegals? We have painfully high unemployment.

Palin would. She said so in June 2010 on Bill O'Reilly. Unemployment was 9.5% then.

I don't know how far off Palin and Perry are on how to deal with the millions here now. One downside is she supported McCain's "earned citizenship" in the past, Perry seemed to reject it.

In Aug. 2007, according to the AP, Perry advocated an id system for tracking illegals to ensure that they pay taxes and obey the law. They reported he'd offer a renewable, 24-month work visa for those who follow such requirements and "incarceration and/or deportation" for those who did not.

In a Dec. 2006 editorial, Gov. Perry wrote: "I would rather know who is crossing our border legally to work instead of not knowing who is crossing our border illegally to work. A guest worker program that provides foreign workers with an ID removes the incentive for millions of people to illegally enter our country. It also adds those workers to our tax base, generates revenue for needed social services and it can be done without providing citizenship."

and

"Along with millions of Americans, I think it is wrong to reward those who broke our laws with citizenship ahead of those who have followed the law and are waiting to enter this country legally. And like millions of Americans I do not support amnesty." (Emphasis mine.)

Source: http://governor.state.tx.us/news/editorial/10326/

I also don't know if his views have changed with our sky high unemployment but he's always said securing the border has to come first and that's also where Palin begins.

So the author of this blog is either ignorant or lying on purpose.

I vote for the latter but ignorance is no excuse when the facts are readily available. I compare them to those who call Sarah Palin a quitter for resigning as governor to benefit her state and those who call Michelle Bachman's husband gay. They are simply propagandists whose effort, regardless of their motives, only benefit Obama.

I say shame on them. They should be supporting their candidate rather than tearing down the others. That is such a common leftist tactic it makes me suspicious of them all.

I think Sarah would be embarrassed by some FReepers' comments supposedly in her support.

Perhaps. But I think all conservatives and FR should be even more embarrassed by those openly justifying illegal immigration.

“The presidential race is heating up. We now have conservatives Bachmann and Cain officially in the race fending off RINO Romney; and Palin and Perry could possibly jump in. My hopes are with Palin, but if she decides not to run I could be happy with Bachmann or Cain. Also, if Palin does not run but Perry does, he’d probably suck all the air out of the race. Either way, Palin, Bachmann, Cain or even Perry would all be excellent alternatives to Obama the commie. Anyone but RINO Romney the big government chief architect of CommieCare!”

Thanks for the links.

So far, after viewing the ones about the border, I think you are doing more to help Perry than to hurt him. In fact you are embarrassing yourself.

He says he is in favor of a fence in strategic places, those most often and easily used by illegals, but he thinks that building a 1200 mile fence from El Paso to Brownsville is rediculous and too expensive for the limited return.

He said a combination of boots on the ground, technology, and strategic fencing is the answer. He also said that it is the federal government’s responsibility, not the states. Despite that, Texas has spent 100s of millions of dollars enforcing the border and Perry has sent the Texas National Guard, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Rangers to the border.

Your comments under the links are very misleading. They are more like headlines from the New York Times.

Every issue you link to has been thoroughly answered and discredited many times. You are simply a propagandists for the left. If you think you are helping another Republican candidate that candidate would probably ask you to cease and desist.

Thanks for the links. Hopefully some of Perry’s worshipers will watch them.

You had better hope they don't. They say the opposite of the comments describing them. I watched them and lost respect for his detractors instead of him.

You know what amazes me..??

Those who don’t think we should be critical of a candidate

You know what amazes me? Those who don't know the difference between malicious propaganda and criticism.

Palin isn’t real clear in that interview about what she would do. (Primarily because O’Reilly talked over her and rushed her through due to time constraints.) However, critics of any guest worker program must consider the questions O’Reilly was asking about what to do with all those already here. It is a complex problem that needs to be well thought out rather than just demagogued. Conservatives unfairly condemned Bush for even talking about it.

It IS a problem that must be faced!

I don't know anybody who openly justifies illegal immigration. We have dealt with it for decades in Texas and it only has gotten worse.

If you look at what Perry has said, not what others have said about what he has said, he is for an immigration policy comparable to what we have with Canada.

If you eat a vegetable or fruit every day, it was probably picked by an illegal alien. Perry wants them documented.

Fact: We have farmers in the valley who if not for illegals, would watch their crops would burn up in the fields. Same is true in CA and FL, I'm sure.

But to insinuate that anybody is "justifying illegal immigration" is misinformed.

We have funded their hospital bills for decades.

Fact 2: There would be serious consequences if they were all suddenly shipped home. We'd be hungry before long!

BTW, I don't like to buy produce grown in Mexico. I always look to see where it was grown. I don't trust their "fertilizer."

Likewise, I don't buy any food items from China. Yuck! LOL!

P.S.

About 25 years ago I saw a program..."60 Minutes," I think, that showed Mexican kids walking across the bridge to go to our schools and walking back to Mexico after school.

Also, they showed trailers along the borders that were post offices...only contained PO boxes. That's where the Feds' checks were mailed to Mexicans who lived in Mexico. It showed them going in to get their mail and going back actoss the bridge.

That was at least 25 years ago (I lived in Houston).

If you think you have a problem with aliens, multiply it by 1000 and you have an inkling how those of us who live in border states feel.

In 1992, over 50% of children in Texas public school Kindergarten were Mexicans. They have just moved into their prime reproductive years. They account for over 50% of births each year, I think.

I recently read that the latest census showed the city limits of Houston to be 33% white. I don't know if that is true or not...but I don't have reason to doubt it.

Yes, I just love illegal immigration! NOT!!! :)
