Meeting Sarah Palin - live and in the flesh
The Washington Times' The Tygrrrr Express ^ | August 17, 2011 | Eric Golub

Posted on 08/17/2011 5:30:13 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The Earth shook, time stood still, and every other cliche not doing her justice applied itself.

It finally happened. I met former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

She may be the loveliest woman on Earth, or at the very least Aphrodite’s better looking cousin.

The morning in 2008 that Sarah Palin was selected to be Vice Presidential nominee, people who thought they knew politics expressed shock. She came out of “nowhere.”

(Which for the media is defined as not New York or Los Angeles)

Those who knew better had a different reaction. I exclaimed “They pulled it off.”

“They” were the devotees of Sarah Palin who sent me emails for an entire year promoting her. Palin right then and there showed she was smart, tenacious, and a figure who commanded a fierce loyalty from people who wanted her on the ticket.

Governor Palin lit up the 2008 GOP Convention. I personally witnessed grown professional women in their forties and fifties crying their eyes out as she spoke. Her convention speech garnered higher ratings than the eventual presidential winner. It was like witnessing the newly discovered child of Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher.

The left needed to destroy her since they despise minority conservatives, especially religious ones to the right on social issues. Yet Sarah Palin did not lose the election for the GOP in 2008. Lehman Brothers burned. She was a jolt of energy to the ticket.....

When Sarah came to Charleston,WV I experienced the same “Rockstar groupy” feeling. and I did the same thing the writer did. I’m short so I could squeeze under the crowd. Nearly got trampled but I persevered, and got to shake Sarah’s hand and tell her that I pray for her. She said, “Thank you so much for that.” And yes, she is stunning and genuine. I don’t believe the meme that the media is trying to foster that women don’t like Sarah. I have loved her from day one, and all of my friends love her too. I have yet to meet a woman who hates her (unless it might be my daughter who is ill informed).

“Mr. Palin, I am a conservative comedian and I actually tell pro-Palin jokes in my speeches. May I quickly tell you one.”

He gave permission, so I served up my best.

“I like Sarah Palin, but I can’t stand her position on traditional marriage. I think it’s awful. What I mean by that is I can’t stand the fact that she is married to somebody who is not me.”

Beautiful, beautiful woman.
If she got elected, she would have to be the most beautiful president, head of state, ruler, whatever in history.

That’s part of his schtick. He is a tad obsessed with her. But he’s cute.

I didn’t get to meet her, but I did hear her speak in Asheville, NC during the campaign. Stood in the heat for a couple of hours and there were many who didn’t get in. The crowd loved her. I saw mothers with children with Down Syndrome going up to her after her speech and she stopped and talked to them. It made me cry. She is beautiful, smart (street smart - no liberal la-la land smart), perceptive, genuine, and loves America. She lives in the real world like most of us with real problems that she deals with. There is no other politician I would have stood in line for so long to see. And I am a woman and there were thousands of women (and girls) there who loved her. Women who hate Sarah either don’t really know her or are just jealous, IMHO.

At least part of her beauty is emanating from within. There are beautiful women that you immediately suspect are less than, shall we say, genuine? Sarah P. may be the rarest of beauties, one that shines inside and out.

She is deserving of every accolade she has ever received, and the vileness she takes from loathesome dirtbags is despicable. I hope against hope that it is God’s will that she be our next President. Scripture tells us that it is God Himself who lifts up leaders over the Nations. Please, God, you know my prayer. Amen.

She has star power. She should share some of that with the Tea Party groups around the country through video conferencing (e.g. Skype or Facetime). In ten or fifteen minutes she could thank them for their support, ask them if *they* think she should run, and tell them she will counting on them for volunteer and financial support if she does get into the race.

.

I would sacrifice vital parts of my body to have the privilege to meet Mrs. Palin. But, being the peon I am, the chances are not likely in my lifetime.

That’s what’s so great about living in Iowa (where I resided from 1974-2002) especially Des Moines. I worked on several presidential campaigns and met hundreds of politicians, newspeople and Hollywood types.
