“He’s probably getting assurances from the Dems - especially Reid - that he won’t let impeachment proceedings happen in the Senate”

Dingy Harry will have no choice in allowing impeachment proceedings. If the house votes impeachment, there will be a trial - period....red

Sure there is, a coalition of the middle from both parties.

Now, the important things are the spending cuts must be front-loaded and there must be no tax increase.

“And it would allow Congress to extend the debt limit through the end of next year—a $2.5 trillion increase—while meeting Mr. Boehner’s condition of having an equal amount of spending cuts”

This gets hussein through the election—NOT good. Make it a short term budget and make him explain EVERY time why the US is going deeper in debt while there are still no jobs to be had. Let HIM veto the short term budget and make this depression his own.

Short Term, it would be Fantastic as well!! Businesses would immediately see the improvement, the reduction in Harassment, and the burden of responding to all of the federal Parasites and would be hiring and expanding like Fleas on a Good Horse! Heck, the Private sector might even find one or two of the Federal Parasites that might actually be employable in the For Profit Private Sector!! all tho I rather doubt that!!!

John, if the Reid cuts are a sham, they invite an immediate credit downgrade.

The RATS are in a lose-lose.

I am more concerned about the Boehner tweet, “we must stop Obama from what he is planning to do...”? Deliberately default? If soN Reid just undercut BO.

Something is up we don’t know about yet.

It’s easy to get to 2.5 trillion with fake cuts.

About a trillion would be defense cuts.
The baseline defense includes Afghanistan and Iraq, which we know
won’t go 10 years.
About half are real defense cuts.

And then the 1.5 trillion from the Biden talks.

Voila!

No deal.

Increased unemployment that would result, coupled with a total LACK OF JOBS IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR makes your theory suspect.

Let’s wait and see how much ...

No, you can wait.

I've had quite enough. Thank you very much.

I've been Taxed Enough Already.

Again, a sham deal by the RATS gets them nothing but more uncertainty and a likely credit downgrade, which will depress the economy further.

This is a lose-lose for the RATS. Let them OWN it; and also let them bicker and bitch for days over every dollar of cuts - great ammo for 2012.

I think the Boehner move on Friday night was the turning point and nobody in DC thought he’d have the stones to do it.

If we were functioning within the constitution as a representational republic that would be true.

Unfortunately, we’re not. This wouldn’t be the first extra constitutional thing this guy has done.

He was ordered by a Federal judge to stop the implementation of the health care law - as it was found unconstitutional, as in it didn’t exist - and he promptly ignored it.

Guess we’ll see?

Barry certainly didn't think Boner would bail out on him as exemplified by his snarling and peevish Fri night presser.

Perhaps you’re right, but he seems to think that he can “take his case to the American people,” appearing on television every five seconds. He also has the lame stream media to carry water for him.
