What good is it to *celebrate diversity* and then turn around and deny it?

Leftists do not really celebrate "diversity." The diversity cult is intended to actually break it down, to undermine the continuity of the cultures involved, both to make it easier for them to consolidate control over the population, and also, to make us less resistant to such projects as new world orders. (See, for example, Diversity.)

Years ago--many--I confronted the late Norman Cousins, then head of the United World Federalists, over what I denounced as "Surrender By Subterfuge." Cousins, as editor of the Saturday Review, was the leading exponent of the shift in American education to that which concentrated on the similarities between peoples, rather than on the characteristics that made each unique. His stated idea, of course, was that this would make them less likely to fight; but, of course, it was intended to make them more likely to surrender those things that they had traditionally been willing to fight for, and hence surrender to a new world order.

Cousins influence on the public schools, through the NEA affiliates in particular, has been very unfortunate.

We’re still allowed to say, “Girls rule, boys drool” in our house...along with, “That’s so gay!” to indicate something is lame. Also often heard: “Don’t be such a girl!” Cootie shots are freely administered. And nobody crumples into a heap, calls anyone a bully, or chants some retarded slogan.

ctdonath2, I find it interesting that you thought
immediately of 1984. I just finished reading “Brave New World” a week ago, and the chief method of indoctrination in that book is with simple phrases and catchy rhymes that are sumbliminally planted in children’s minds while they sleep. With it so fresh on my mind, it is no surprise that it is the first thing I thought of.

In Brave New World, every time an argument arises, the first thing said is the simple catchphrase that applies, and the arguments end, because you can’t trump the catchphrase. That is why the quote from the above article is especially chilling:

I can see the connection of repeated training in your quote from Orwell, especially the immediate “duty to the party” response the with which the women of 1984 are trained. However, in 1984, sexual dispassion is used as control, whereas in Brave New World, unlimited sexual indulgence is the “opium of the masses” (as it were). In this situation, we have the “duty to the party” of the extreme left (as in 1984), and we also have catchy slogans and the “everyone belongs to everyone else” sexual promiscuity culture (Brave New World).

My dad has been saying this for years—America is taking the worst parts of 1984 and Brave New World and blending them into a disturbing reality.

Oh, Dad—you’ve been right about so many things. Why did you have to be right about this too?

Not a lot of time or thought went into finding the quote, but you get what I was looking for.
Either way it goes, asexual or hypersexual, the point is it’s sexuality being manipulated by the elite for its own sustained power and ends. Hence our current reality of intense political assault on natural straight monogamous reproductive sex: unlike the masturbatory alternatives, true sexual intercourse creates an intense loyalty to family instead of state, craving liberty against tyranny. This, of course, is intolerable to polypragmatons and tyrants.
