Pretty much. The msm, and perhaps even more the late night talk show host, had many convinced that if a candidate had an R behind his/her name that they were Satan or in League with Satan, otherwise known as George W Bush.
Give us a decent candidate to run against McCaskill* and she's toast.

No, it was voter fraud and keeping the St. Louis polls open way longer than they should have (judge-sanctioned, of course).
The Missouri legislature tried to fix the problems with a voter ID bill, but the Secretary of State, Robin Carahan, a democrat, took 'em to court and won. She'll be out soon, and we'll try again.

The NYT article questioning McCain’s eligibility gave McCaskill the smokescreen needed to help Obama. Claire loved Obama and tried to circumvent the Constitution (as did Repubs) by sponsoring S 2678 (failed) and SR 511 (with Repub co-sponsor Coburn, etc.) SR 511 had a clause saying candidates not born in this country and once thought not eligible for the presidency were actually eligible. It was a lie, but Repubs wanted McCain so bad they and Dems signed it. Repubs thought McCain could beat Hillary. Hillary did not expose Obama because she had enough delegates to be nominated. They both got snookered when Dean illegally forced Hillary’s delegates to switch to Obama. Congress knew Obama was not eligible all along. They refuse to impeach him because they would have to impeach themselves. They are all guilty of treason.
