Despite Warnings, Obama Administration Does Nothing
The KI Chronicles ^ | March 15, 2011 | RAISafe

Even the nuclear crisis enveloping Japan isn’t enough to wake up an indifferent Obama Administration. The massive earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan on Friday also created a crisis at the country’s nuclear power plants. Damage at the sites was extensive, and repair work was impeded by at least one massive explosion. Radioactive gas leaks have been reported, with radiation 1,000 times higher than normal levels. In response, the Japanese government has imposed a massive, military-led evacuation, clearing people away from at least two of the plants.

Despite the tragedy unfolding in Japan, the United States remains unprepared. The country does not have enough of even the most basic countermeasures, such as potassium iodide or KI, which would be needed to protect the general population from a nuclear emergency. Last June, 13 bipartisan representatives from Florida...

Libtards are moral cowards. They are afraid to pronounce moral judgments. This leads to moral neutrality which leads to indifference and apathy.

What do you mean, "Nothing", Willis?

He voted "present" (the only thing the usurper knows how to do), then went to play golf, besides he really couldn't care less.

“Mr. Obama, are your NCAA Brackets ready?” ESPN asks. Obama responds, “Yes, they er er er are! I’m rooting for Illinois to ah ah ah ah take it all the way this year.”

Folks, Obama is taping his bracket picks today on ESPN. Are we all alittle surprised by this? You should be. But, I’m not really surprised by this because this is what we all expect from our soon to be lameduck President. He doesn’t care about what’s going on in this country. He’s removed himself from all Washington politics. Why? Because, he’s stressed out. Oh, poor baby. That’s what happens when you’re unprepared for one of the most difficult jobs in the world. Obama is stressed out. He can’t take the pressure like his predecessors before him. So, his icy attitude towards the devastation in Japan and the chaos in the Middle East shouldn’t come as a surprise to most of us. This is what people voted for. And, he’s delivering the goods. I hope people remember this next year as he’s already focusing on next year with his billion dollar fundraising efforts this week. Shame on you Dumbo! Shame! Shame! Shame!

President Obama is finally getting the blame Bush for everything treatment. It could not have come at a better time. How does it feel Dems. We put up for it for eight years and now it is your turn. Doesn’t feel good does it? Now when Sarah is President in 2013, how about not blaming her for every single thing that goes on in the World?

Come on. Its not like Barry has time to deal with each and every little catastrophe in the world. Prime Tee times are hard to get.

By the way some guy just called in to Alex Jones and said the Iodide in his area is gone so he went to the Pharmacy to get the Pharmacist to issue him a prescription of it. Apparently some of his friends asked their doctors and pharmacists the same question and were told that the govt had told the doctors and pharmacists not to issue scrips for idodide as it was not needed at this time. Very interesting especially since this is an over the counter product.

If you cannot find iodide go to the health food store and buy Kelp capsules. We picked up a bottle yesterday just to be on the safe side. $5.99 for 100 capsules.

Uh, go to the site hosting the article...

That’s A Whole Lot of Kelp, Fella.
Some self-appointed experts claim that instead of taking KI, it’s far more practical and convenient for people at risk from exposure to radioactive iodine to protect themselves simply by taking a dietary supplement product containing kelp. Well, let’s see how smart these experts really are?

For adults, the FDA recommends a daily dose of 130 milligrams of potassium iodide for radiation protection. On the other hand, a kelp supplement tablet at GNC contains 150 micrograms of iodine, which is the standard nutritional dose. That’s micrograms, not milligrams. Since there are 1,000 micrograms in one milligram, one would have to consume 666 kelp tablets a day to get an equivalent dose. 666 tablets a day as opposed to a single KI pill. Now that’s practical and convenient.

And don’t forget the warnings on the kelp product. Consumers are limited to only one tablet a day, and the label cautions against use if you are pregnant, nursing, or are taking a prescribed iodine medication or have a known sensitivity to iodine or hyperthyroidism. And kelp nutritional products are not approved for pharmaceutical use or manufactured in accordance with FDA standards for pharmaceutical products.

The kelp we got is 400 micrograms per capsule. I think over time it builds up. We are just going to start taking it every day. The level of radiation that is likely to get to the USA is going to be pretty small if you believe the experts.
