Yesterday Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) took to the House floor in opposition to House Resolution 2, the Repealing the Job Killing Health Care Law Act. Arguing the unconstitutionality of the repeal she said:

That should say (D-Mothership)
Can SJL even pronounce “unconstitutional”?
That should say (D-Mothership)
There is no constitutional right to health insurance, she’s an idiot.
Democrats have no penalty for being stupid. In fact, it’s a requirement.
I cringed when Rush played the audio, featuring this alleged law school graduate saying “reckonize”.

What better than to have a Democrat try and make this argument. I WANT them to try and claim laws are mandated or are permitted under the Constitution. That is the Brier patch we want to be thrown into.
Even if it comes down to a claim that the expectation and desire of the citizenry means that the Constitution SHOULD call for such and doesn't it still leads us back to the amendment process.
The situation we have now, general government at the federal level without restraint, is so appalling that even Lee makes more sense by mounting such an unworkable argument.
Case study of affirmative action in law school.
It’s incredible the amount of absolute, unbridled stupidity that exists in our Congress . . . This has nothing to do with party loyalty, just abject, plain stupidity . . .
are you a blog pimp?
Evidently a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia Law School ain’t worth a whole heckuva lot.
LOL. So is sending a man to Mars, Sheila, but we did it anyway.
I know we have a “BARF” Alert, is there a “MORON” Alert or is that just assumed because it’s SJL?
Better yet, how much would you like to bet that she doesn't even know what 'vetted' means :-)
She knows that Bill doesn’t like Vettes. He likes El Caminos with Astroturf in the back.
Isn’t Texas in the lawsuit to declare it unconditional?”
Perhaps this will help you understand why the other 99.9% of Texas residents do not want to be associated with SJL. Michael Berry on talk radio in Houston will have a field day with this - can hardly wait! She is just the gift that keeps giving to his talk show.
Ah, that magical 14th amendment. It simply does everything!
This woman is very fortunate that neither breathing nor a beating heart require any intelligence. Her stupidity is only exceeded by the brain dead minority that keeps electing her because of her skin color.
She has all of that hair wound up too tight again. There is nothing in the Constitution in regards to National Health Care. You say she has a law degree. Should be recalled.

Love to see her try a case in the Supreme Court with that argument; even Ruth B Ginsburg would dismiss her “rationale”.
Amen, perhaps the good (ahem) congresswoman should research the history of ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment. That was unconstitutional as well....but then again it wouldn’t serve her purposes...Sometimes I think that Sheila Jackson Lee is an evil witch, but then again I think that she is too stupid to be an evil witch....
NOBODY had even read the blasted thing before it was passed!
Would that be the same constitution she does not believe in?
