Are you kidding? Who led Auburn this year?
Alabama. Clemson. Arkansas. Georgia. South Carolina.
We rallied in Tuscaloosa to beat the defending national champions and come back from a 24 point deficit.
Now we are leading Oregon. Auburn is a STRONG second half team.
Tostitos=Frito Lay=Pepsi=Toco Bell=KFC=...
Wasn’t Oregon trailing Tennessee at the end of the first half earlier this year in Knoxville. As I recall they blew out the Volunteers by over 40 points in the 2nd half. I’m just sayin’...
ROFL you comparing Auburn to TENNESSEE????
Troll free BCS thread?
Oregon is a quality team, but I don't think the Pac-10 compares to the SEC in terms of fielding competition.
Yep, them's fighting words.
LUTZENKERGEN(SP)!
Dammit!
Big stop for the Ducks to hold them to a FG, 19-11.
Big Damm Stop!
But, AGreatPer is correct, too. We were the East Alabama Methodist Men’s College and did have a part in the War of Northern Aggression. Samford Hall, for a time, was used as a hospital during that Late Unpleasantness.
You’re right. Thanks for the alert. I felt (mildly) bad about hijacking ATRW.
They’re both in the SEC aren’t they?
That should have been six for AU.
I think the Ducks are also winning the “good looking cheerleader” contest.
It was the “is a Methodist school” that I responded to. I didn’t look it up, but wondered if Auburn might have been a Methodist school long ago. But probably not in the memory of anyone now living.
JEEZE they are still slipping all over the place!
Nope, I want to say the change occured in 1880s when the land grant colleges were authorized by congress. Alabama split ours between Alabama A & M in Huntsville and what was then called Alabama Polytechnic Institute.
I live here in Auburn and grew up with this history. Heritage is important to us.
that was a good play for the ducks.
Drat.
