Technically, it is not the ballot box that is broken perhaps, but the American people, too uninformed to cast intelligent votes. And that goes for head-in-the-sand Republican primary voters too, esp. in NH and SC. But agaqin, maybe the whole system was elections was never desirable. No one has an alternative.
Since at least 1974, the people of TN have “thought” that Lamar! is “conservative.” I don’t see them learning the truth by 2014. And by them Lamar! may go back to Maryville, where he came from.
I don’t know that he “lied” per se, but some conservatives outside of MA just imagined him to be “conservative.”
Yes, that has crossed my mind, and I'm sure it's crossed Brown's as well - - he has no principles - - but there are too many life-long rats who have waited patiently in the wings in Massachusetts to let Brown sneak in by switching parties. Brown may need the rats, but the rats certainly do not need Brown. And now that Brown has turned and peed all over the base that got him elected, he is toast.
Those with a loser's mentality said the same thing in New Jersey before Chris Christie won.
