Sorry, Mr. Rove, but if Mrs. Bush can dish it out with a smile on her face, then she should be able to take it with a smile or scowl, I don’t care. And just as Mrs. Bush is entitled to her opinion, so is Governor Palin.

From Websters Dictionary...

Definition of BLUE BLOOD

1 : membership in a noble or socially prominent family

*****************************************************
George H. W. Bush’s father was Prescott Bush, a US Senator and banker, and served on the board of CBS and as a member of the Yard Corporation, the body that runs Yale.

His father, Samuel Bush was a railroad executive, then a steel company president, and, during World War I, also a federal government official in charge of coordination and assistance to major weapons contractors.

Can anyone seriously say the the above definition does not apply to the Bush family? Stating someone is a “blueblood” is does not mean someone is a bad person, or lacking in character. It simply indicates a person’s background that likely gives someone an elitist worldview.

When Roger Ailes first highered Rove, I was thrilled. Now he seems ubiquitous and loquacious and wont go away. Between Hannity, O’Reilly, and Greta, he is on every day now. He is more of an elitist than the Bush family.

It is in Sarah Palin's DNA to hit back when hit, usually with a wink and a chuckle, but it's not in her makeup to sit back and absorb punishment. That is one thing which many of us find so refreshing about her and a major difference between her and GWB (or his flying monkey, Karl Rove ... aka "Turd Blossom"). If there is such a thing as a blueblood political class, the Bush's have been top rank for three generations.

Meanwhile, Barbara Bush has a well earned reputation for cutting wit and at her age it's natural to expect she doesn't give a GGD what others think. I thought the quip about hoping Mrs. Palin stays in Alaska could be taken a number of ways, including why would any woman with what Sarah Palin has going for her choose to take on the Washington cesspool, an environment BB knows well and must herself despise and loath? That same question has occurred to me more than once, and I adore SP. But the back and forth has highlighted, post-Tea Party Election of 2010, that the fight for the soul, direction, and fate of the Republican Party has only just begun.

Request: Does anyone here comment at C4P and if so can you tell me how the heck I navigate the minefield that is the log in and commenting process there? I realize it’s off topic and I’d be wasting someone’s time...I’m definitely not a genius but I’m not stupid either and I can’t believe how complicated it is to get on there and join in! Talk about jumping through cyber hoops!

Rove was asked what he thought about Palin’s and Huckabee’s remarks, and he flatly said it was “unnecessary.”

"Unnecessary", but not untrue...

Rove is inadvertently proving Sarah Palins point. Deference to an individual because of who they are is one of the key characteristics a “Blue Blood”
