All Roads From Our Airport Security Misery Lead To Yasser Arafat - Inventor Of Modern Terrorism
Here's The Right Side Of It ^ | November 12, 2010 | John L. Work

So, I was reading the Drudge Report tonight – in particular the piece about all of the teeth-gnashing and angst that has been wrought by the new airport security procedures – you have to choose between an x-ray photo-shoot that sort of strips you naked for viewing by TSA personnel, or a pat-down search if you refuse the full-body scan – including manipulation of your private parts (not to put too fine a point on it). Reuters has the original report, if you care to read it:

And then I started thinking about who we really have to blame for all of this humiliation and inconvenience in the name of security. I can remember flying anywhere in the 1960s and never even had to go through a screening. I just showed my ticket and got on the plane. So, what in the world happened to us – I mean other than Muhammad telling his followers in the 7th Century to convert the World of Infidels to Islam or kill them? Well, the guy that really started all of this plane hi-jacking business was Bill and Hillary Clinton’s good pal, Yasser Arafat (photo above with Bill Clinton). Yep. He invented modern jihad via terrorism. When old Yasser died in 2004, Jeff Jacoby wrote a very appropriate obit in The Boston Globe, sans sympathy:

http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2004/11/11/arafat_the_monster/

Here’s an excerpt, just so you get the flavor:

“…In a better world, the PLO chief would have met his end on a gallows, hanged for mass murder much as the Nazi chiefs were hanged at Nuremberg. In a better world, the French president would not have paid a visit to the bedside of such a monster. In a better world, George Bush would not have said, on hearing the first reports that Arafat had died, “God bless his soul.”

God bless his soul? What a grotesque idea! Bless the soul of the man who brought modern terrorism to the world? Who sent his agents to slaughter athletes at the Olympics, blow airliners out of the sky, bomb schools and pizzerias, machine-gun passengers in airline terminals? Who lied, cheated, and stole without compunction? Who inculcated the vilest culture of Jew-hatred since the Third Reich? Human beings might stoop to bless a creature so evil — as indeed Arafat was blessed, with money, deference, even a Nobel Prize — but God, I am quite sure, will damn him for eternity…”

You’ve gotten the idea, here, I’m sure.

But, what has always stuck in my mind is that photograph of Bill Clinton fawning over this indiscriminate murderer of women and children. And the one of Hillary kissing Mrs. Arafat was another that made me scratch my head. I always wondered why she and Bill were so fond of Yasser. How does one see greatness in a murderer, a terrorist, a man who hates Jews? Maybe I just got stuck behind the learning curve there and the Clintons saw something in him that I somehow missed.

But all that aside, we really have Yasser to thank for our airport misery. And it’s always been about jihad. Now, what was Obama saying about Islam’s contributions to the world?

Ya think maybe old Yasser studied those two and stole their thunder? Hmm.

Best,

What you missed wasn't in Arafat, it's in the Clintons.

Could be. Most of the "early" targets were post offices ~ both in the US and in Europe. By the late 1920s everyone had changed postal designs around the world and as new facilities were constructed bombing them effectively, and killing a lot of people, became harder and harder. You also couldn't just drive up to a post office and fire your machine gun and do anything to it or the workers.

Postal building designs continue to make bombs rather ineffective ~ notice that Tim McVeigh blew away a federal building on a corner, but the post office diagonal across the street was hardly touched by the blast, and there's a good reason Tim didn't even bother with it first (nor did the guy who wrote the "Turner Diaries" consider such buildings targetable.

So, yeah, there's a terrorists handbook out there that's probably been put together by the NKVD and KGB that tells its field agents to "not bother" with Post Offices and instead go for the far softer office buildings, particularly the ones without court rooms!
