I’m next door in #5, which is now safely GOP.
My interest and energies were devoted to #8 this year because of Grayson and I’m glad it was worth the trouble.
It all depends on reapportionment, of course, but if no major boundary adjustments are made in #8, I fear that changing demographics could bring the Democrats control of that seat once again. That is A Democrat but not likely Grayson. I’m pretty sure he has shot his wad.
Let’s hope Webster does an outstanding job and the RNC devotes some serious resources to holding your district.
I got a personal handwritten note because I donated a small amount of money to be used to elect Rep Webster. It is the classiest thing I have ever experienced in the political arena. It was complete with his return address on the envelope. A guy with the name Daniel Webster should “get it” and go serve in the spirit of the mystical Mr Smith who sat in the original Daniel Webster’s chair.

Amen to that!! Character was the main issue in the campaign and hence it was no contest and there is no chance of Grayson reappearing on the Florida scene ever again. Character truly does matter.
