President Barack Hussein Obama, in a determination letter to Congress, has announced that he will allow an additional 80,000 immigrants – - mostly from Islamic countries – - to resettle in the United States during fiscal year 2011.
Mr. Obama says that the increase in Muslim immigrants “is justified by humanitarian concerns or is otherwise in the national interest.”

And yet my wife still has to go through the whole Permanent Resident/Citizenship rigmarole, complete with exorbitant fees and overly-complex forms, and follow specific requirements for residency and travel (and since I ended up having to work outside the country, there’s a very good chance all our efforts to date have been shot to hell anyway).
Meanwhile, the Zer0 waves his hand, and 80,000 people, many of whom will not only not contribute to society, but very likely will end up as burdens on society, walk right in.

If we let in anyone from muslim countries, it should the minorities persecuted by the muslims, not the persecutors themselves.

During the past year in South Africa, over three thousand white farmers have been murdered because of their race. Those are the kind of people we should be encouraging to immigrate here: they speak English, understand our political system, and can assimilate easily. They really have no where else to go.
Muslims can immigrate to Muslim controlled nations. I, for one, do not want them here.

If we get a Republican Congress that has the courage to launch investigations there are numerous felonies besides treason we can nail Obama on.
Do you notice that no one in government ever asks citizens what immigration policy should be, how many people from what countries ought to be allowed in under what conditions, do you notice no one in government ever ask anyone outside of government?
Do you notice no one in government ever attempts to explain their policy, what it is even, much less why it is good for the citizen? You can’t even get firm numbers on how many people are allowed into the country in a given year, how many residence visas, things that ought to be public information seem to be buried in some kind of double-book accounting system.
Immigration should always, first, foremost, always, serve the interests of the citizen. The numbers allowed in should be public and should be explainable and should be chosen based on the interest of the citizen. In a democracy, (yes, I know we’re a republic, but the point remains), in a democracy you share power with your neighbors. But not with just anyone; citizenship laws are our way of defining with whom we agree to share power. We don’t agree to be ruled by just anyone, we define who gets to come here and who gets to share in the vote, and who gets a say in how things are to be run. O can say it however he wants, but in allowing people in without our consent he is stealing our sovereignty. Again. He is counterfeiting citizenship. He is giving away what isn’t his to give.
He is doing to citizenship what he’s doing to the dollar. Devaluing it to the point of collapse.
