Sen. Jim DeMint: “We are Going to Have an Earthquake Election in November” – Video

Here is an interview GOP Sen. Jim DeMint did with Greta Van Susteren last night, where he said, “We are going to have an earthquake election in November."

DeMint said some of the attacks on Christine O’Donnell are “ridiculous.” What matters is “what is she going to do when she gets to Washington.”

“I don’t think Americans are stupid. People in Delaware are not stupid. They know our country is on the edge of a disaster. They know if they go with a Democrat in this race, he’s going to support ObamaCare; he’s going to support the Pelosi/Reid agenda. The contrast is so clear that I believe the people of Delaware are going to say, “No more of this nonsense – we’re going to go with Christine.”

DeMint also said he has “no intentions” of running for President in 2012. When asked who he thought might be the nominee, DeMint said he has “been a fan of Mitt Romney for a long time,” and said that “Sarah Palin is great.” He said “Newt Gingrich has possibilities.”

Love this man. He is becoming the new giant in the Senate. With the passing of Kennedy, Bird, etc, and the slew of retirements and primary victims, he is becoming one of the most important figures in our nation...shaping the political landscape for the next 10 years.

That's okay, I guess.

When asked who he thought might be the nominee, DeMint said he has “been a fan of Mitt Romney for a long time,” and said that “Sarah Palin is great.” He said “Newt Gingrich has possibilities.”

I am so over Mr. Newt.

I’d rather see DeMint himself run than Newt, Romney or (and I know I’ll get bashed for this) Palin.

Yes, DeMint is an outstanding leader, not only for the GOP, but for the entire nation. We need more leaders like him!

I love Jim DeMint, cerebrally speaking. My kind of guy doing the Lord’s work to clean up our gov’t and helping good conservative candidates out financilly through his fund raising skills. Quite the man.

Senator Jim DeMint is a great example of courageous leadership. Unfortunately, I believe him when he says he won't run for POTUS. But I am completely mystified by his suggested 'endorsement' of Mittster and Newt at this point. They are the exact opposite of courageous leadership.

Newt's 'all-in' over Dede Scozzafava was no different than Rove's 'all-in' over Castle. Both dudes jumped the shark, bigtime, and revealed their inner 'wobbly'ness. Hopefully, someone close to Sen. DeMint will soon disabuse him of either of these two as potential POTUS material.

They keep leaving off the statements that followed. He also said he’s not sure the nominee is someone that has come to national attention yet and what he is really looking for is someone with Reagan’s communication and Churchill’s ability to share hard truths with the American people.

And, it wouldn’t shock me. How many previous unknown conservatives have arisen the last few years in a short time span. It’s very possible someone no one is talking about may suddenly be lifted on that same wave all of these others have been.

The 'working man' has been pushed into a corner. His savings are gone, his children's futures are being destroyed for no good reason.

There can be no doubt that what Obama seeks is to overthrow the Constitutional Republic that we have enjoyed for the past 230+ years.

Look at what we have become in 18 months.

He must be thrilled. Time for some hoops. Time for some ice cream. Time for a swim. Up yours America.

Liar = Obama.

Cheater = Feds.

Thief = Congress.

Con artist = Piss-Stream Media.

Dems have had the keys to government since 2007, and Bush was a backseat driver. Spending originates in the House of Representatives. Zer0, Nancy, and Harry drove the car off a cliff in 2008, and now you expect to blame Bush and escape with no political harm with the help of your piss-stream media. Guess what, you bastards, the American voters are coming for you this time. Go ahead, keep blaming Bush, for soon one-third of you will be gone. You're futures in office are all used up.

Throw 'em all out.

YOU LIE_01sm

I'm a big Palin backer, but I could happily vote for DeMint.

A couple of days ago I posted "Palin/DeMint 2012".

Agreed!

Unfortunately, I believe him when he says he won't run for POTUS.

(Run for POTUS in '12) I think I believe him, too.

But I am completely mystified by his suggested 'endorsement' of Mittster and Newt at this point.

I'm not. I'm thinking potential veep pick.

Anything is possible. I only know I'm very, very, very tired of one person in particular...
