All of the other things could have been fixed politically and survived . The JFK (and his Kennedy legacy) is that we can never recover, we have been and remain in the process of being replaced.

America is now a multi-cultural, multi-racial, multi-religious, globalized economic center only, we are merely fighting a delaying action and to retain some basic rights now as the USA disappears from memory.

You are correct, at the very core of Islam is control of the state in all its forms. From the Presidency to the county Sheriff if you would have a Muslim majority in this country.

I would not vote for a cultist either, I don’t know if I consider Mormons a cult but I will not, or will I ever vote for the NE Rino that the GOP is set to push on us in 2012.

I think he somehow pictures a moral equivalence in his perception of the persecution of the two rather disparate belief-systems. It is to his discredit.

The Muslim Mormon Connection

Theology Is Not the Common Ground

Despite some arguable similarities in doctrine and practice, there is no apparent theological basis for the deepening ties between American Muslims and Mormons. Muslims (adherents to Islam) venerate Muhammad as God’s prophet and the founder of their religion, while Mormons revere Joseph Smith in that role. Islam originated in the 7th century A.D. in what is today the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the proper name of the “Mormon” church) originated in upstate New York in the early 19th century A.D. Islam proclaims that Jesus Christ was a prophet of God, but not the Son of God, and that Mohammed is the greatest of all of God’s prophets. Mormons proclaim that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God and the Savior of all people.

Shared Values and Histories of Persecution and Prejudice

Both religions emphasize the primal importance of the family as the foundation of society. Historically, both religions have strong patriarchal traditions that are moderating somewhat under the influence of modern societal standards. Both religions call for modesty, chastity, and virtue from their members. Both religions have health codes based on religious principles, including abstinence from alcohol. Interestingly, both religions are growing at healthy rates during a time when formal religiosity among the U.S. population is actually declining.

These similarities aside, perhaps the strongest part of the foundation for this growing friendship is that both religions have a history as objects of persecution and prejudice in the United States. For Muslims, 9/11 changed everything instantly, making them objects of antagonism and suspicion and effectively branding their religion as aggressively anti-American. Mormons have a long history of facing persecution and prejudice—many Americans still associate the words “Mormon” and “polygamy” instantly despite the church's official renunciation of polygamy over one hundred years ago.

“We are very aware of the history of the Mormons as a group that was chastised in America,” said Maher Hathout, a senior advisor to the Muslim Public Affairs Council in Los Angeles, California, USA. “They can be a good model for any group that feels alienated.”

sir, thank you for pointing out the error in the use of “thrown” as opposed to “thone.”

i cannot do much about the replication of the error here, but, at http://wintersoldier2008.typepad.com, the correction has been made. it has been effected.

I heard in history over in the UK and Europe that Cult was the proper name when referring to the many of the mainstream religions!

Cult was used in a derogatory manner!

JFK did not do a heck of a lot....when VP Johnson took over he is the one that started the great society and the taxes that went with it....I remember when he have his Great Society speech on TV....The civil rights laws went through via Republicans and only a few democrats...thats why I don’t understand their loyalty to the democrat party. Jim Crow and the KKK were all democrats and the governors and their laws in the south....

GLENN BECK NEVER SAID THIS! Beck only spoke about how Europe is divided between far left and far right. He did NOT mention Wilders in the context of European Fascism. Why does this continue to be an issue?

Because JFK let MLK out of prison.

MLK was a republican. The democrats in the south would not let blacks join their party....Condi Rice said the same thing and all her family were republicans....But we do know that if you tell a lie long enough, it becomes the truth to many.....democrats lie every time they open their mouths...GG

PS Johnson was also the one that sent 1/2 million men to Viet Nam and the tied their hands with ROE. He also went on TV to explain why he did that....I quote.....I will not be the first president to lose a war....unquote...

He was a jackass and liar from the day he was born..

JFK would be a total persona non grata in todays RAT party. In fact if he were alive today, they’d probably take him out....oh wait.

I am deeply puzzled how so many are unable to see the seriousness of the situations we are in and these clueless vessels want to divide the nation at a time like this!

A house divided can not stand!

...it is a universal law!

Beck has sent out a clarion call asking Americans to find common ground and build on that for unity in defending the constitution?

All the great religions in the world do have a common thread which all good people can stand to gether.

What wonders the Lord could do with a humble people!

"I don’t understand their loyalty to the democrat party."

"Because JFK let MLK out of prison."

The switch actually took place in 1936 and it never went back to Republican.

In 1932, FDR got 23% of the black vote which was normal to that point, but whatever he sold blacks changed their vote permanently, in 1936 FDR got 71% of the black vote and they never looked at Republicans again.

Yea,.....I have my ears up when he starts mixing the two....and I’m not talking just mentioning God....I think Beck is going to find, as he is already, that to mix these in the poltical and economic and challenging environment of our country is a very risky thing....A call to return to God is being preached in many churches and by those who are called to do so....Franklin Grahmn etc. But Beck is our political and Historical guy...he needs to stick with that...an occassional reference to God and faith is fine...but not how things seem to be shaping up if he continues.
