The news is never welcome. "Your father is in the hospital" Well, it came this weekend. He will be 80 this December and has had his share of health issues over the years. Folks, he has been my rock, and despite a period in my youth where the old former athlete could not understand his bookworm son, we built a relationship which weathered many a tough time. He has always had the patience to watch me wander off into the consequences of choices guided more by foolhardy passion than common logic, yet was always ready to help me up, dust me off, and tell me to get back on the journey. My beloved father is ill now with pneumonia and also needs to be tested for other ailments. Keep Fred in your thoughts tonight my brothers and sisters in faith.

Have included your beloved Dad in this Healing Confession, Starfire ... may the Lord grant you the desire of your heart and restore your Dad to the fulless of health. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, may it be so, Amen ...
HEALING CONFESSION
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Living Word. You said that Your Word is Life to those who find it and medicine to all their flesh. Today, by my confession, I apply Your Word to our body by giving voice to it. You said in Psalm 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that Your works are marvelous. I declare that You made us and we are a marvelous creation.
I speak to sickness and disease today and proclaim that according to Philippians 2:10 that they must bow down to the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every name in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth bows its knee to Jesus name.
I speak to our body today and declare that we have authority over it. I command it to receive the Word of God. Matthew 8:17 proclaims that Jesus bore our sickness and took our infirmities. Heavenly Father, I thank You that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us and makes alive our mortal body.
I speak to our immune system and command it to line up with the Word of God. Our immune system will destroy sickness and disease in our body and perform its job, for this is what You created it to do. I thank You, Father, that every cell in our body responds to Your Word. Your Word permeates our body from the top of our head to the bottom of our feet. I confess that the Word of God is being made flesh in us. Psalm 103:3 declares that You, Father, forgave all our iniquities and healed all our diseases. Father, that is Your confession and I make it my confession also. We dont judge by the sight of our eyes; we judge by Your Living Word. It is Your Word that lives in us and brings health and healing to every part of our body.
Heavenly Father, I rejoice at Your promise of divine health. You said it and I believe it. Today I declare that we will see Your Promise of healing manifest in our body. Healing is ours because Jesus paid the price two thousand years ago. God so loved us that He sent His Son to die on the cross so that we could experience life on Gods terms. His abundant life is manifesting in us. Make us whole ~ body, soul, and spirit. Amen

I wish you and yours all the best.
Our Heavenly Father knows best, never forget that.
Someone I cared alot about, a few years back, passed under similar conditions.
And at least, his passing was quick, and with little pain.
He left in his sleep.
He had no idea of how quickly the world would spin out of control,
and I'm glad he's not here to see what this country has declined into.
I miss him and I wish it hadn't happened.
But sometimes God's way is best.
Y'all're in my prayers, and I hope your wishes come true.

Thank you Brothers and Sisters. I have been keeping tabs on ths situation and talked with him today. He was brought in last weekend for pain in his side which may be in his plumbing. Things have stopped snowballing and he is aware and awake.
Rather than just keeping this on the urgent front, I would rather share a memory with you. Before I discovered the benefits of exercise, he took me cross country skiing one winter in upstate NY. We completed a trail and despite my falling down and not wanting to get back up... several times, he pressed me forward with a firm, but not hard voice. We completed the trail and were better for the experience. He was and is a gentle soul, but is as also as much a father and a man as ever lived. Thank you all for your intercessions.
Yours in Christ, StarfireIV

Titus Mountain is good for beginners, and Whiteface at Lake Placid is more for intermediates and experts.
The best is across Lake Champlain and east of Burlington, but I forget the name, Smuggler's Notch, I think. It's on the right side of the mountain, as far as the Sun is concerned.
Keep your hope and head up, but be happy with God.

Great memory, thanks for sharing. Those special events come back around smack us in our hearts and minds, bringing joy.
Glad the snowballing has stopped. We are the most fortunate people on earth to share an awesome, loving Father and his Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. May God's will be done, always.

I spoke with my cousin. She, her husband and another cousin stopped by and spoke well of his mental state. They "quizzed" him about events years ago and recently. That is ok, but...
The head nurse told them that he is seriously ill and that his condition has deteriorated since his arrival about four days ago.
Thank you all again.
