Just why is a birth rate that is lower even than the Great Depression years due to a recession?

And how is the fact that we went from having the most births in American history in 2007 to the worst birth rate ever "Bush's fault"?

Socialism has that effect on society.

I eat socialism for breakfast.

That is why I am so frighteningly thin.

Don’t tell the Democrats or they’ll mandate baby-making or something. Or they will mandate a bailout for the debt-loads of un-wed mothers to stimulate fertility or something. All of their policy-solutions are so uniformly god-awful that I just don’t want them to know about any crisis that they don’t already know about and are already poised to screw up even more than it’s already screwed.

America's birth rate is lower than at any time in the last last 100 years.

America's same sex marriage rate is at it's highest level ever.

Certainly there is no connection....

Low birth rate, PLUS:

New data shows that 40 percent of all children and 72 percent of black children are born outside marriage

If poor single mothers married the fathers of their children, nearly two-thirds could escape poverty immediately.

Government spends $300 billion annually to assist low-income single parents.

Now, the real problem is what price do children caught in a single mom household pay. If she does not have an older father figure to step in and fill the void of the missing father, how does it affect the child’s future. There are a lot of grandparents now raising their grandchildren.

some of date here:

Recently I caught a call-in discussion on NPR where people called in to share their desires and experiences in having child-free marriages. Mostly folks who felt they were doing there part to minimize a so-called population explosion. One lady said she and her husband went out on the town every year on the anniversary of his vascectomy, to spend the money they were saving on school supplies, children's clothes etc.

What these self-absorbed hedonists fail to realize is that they are actually insuring the continuance an ever-diminishing labor pool that is going to end up footing the bill for supporting the current generation of boomers entering - and expanding - the seasoned citizens' rolls. I don't see how anyone can look to the future of this country and anticipate a sudden reversal of fortune of what so obviously awaits us...

So. reading these two comments, we’re not going to have liberals bail us out of the lowest birth rate disaster by demanding an end to gay marriage?

It’s too bad that liberals and progressives have a 100% track record of solving problems by making the problems they solve worse.

The deepening recession, along with general discontent is Obama’s fault. The low birth rate, not entirely so. The planet is heading first to replacement level, then probably to declining population as the world adopts higher living standards.

Obama has accelerated the trend here, and since there is no more private economy expansion; therefore immigration, the source of our population growth, is declining. Imigration works two ways: direct population increase followed by high birthrates for a couple of generations. I think when we get over Obama, we’ll go back to an expanding US population by imigration.

Bu... bu... But Murphy Brown was right! And Dan Quayle spelled potato with a dated-but-valid ‘e’!!! Clearly he must therefore be stupid, and clearly that means single parents pumping out babies must be okay!?!?

I mean, what kind of racists ARE you people?

It’s actually hilarious, apart from the fact that liberals are about 98% to their goal of “Cloward-and-Pivenizing” America into implosion so they can finally have their beloved Marxism.

First liberals gave us Social Security - the ultimate ponzi scheme in which you needed more and more suckers to be born to spread out the time to complete collapse.

And THEN they murdered the “sucker pool” with abortion and frightened other would-be-parents away from giving birth with environmentalist-whackjob predictions of famine due to a high birth rate.

And FINALLY they give us the worst president in history to complete the America-as-Dodo bird picture.

Just in time for that Ponzi-scheme bill to start truly coming due.

The deepening recession, along with general discontent is Obama’s fault. The low birth rate, not entirely so

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

It’s that “not entirely” part that I’m focusing on.

Again, the mainstream narrative is that the century-low birth rate is due to the bad economy. But that 100-year figure predates the WORST economy we’ve ever had. Which means that there must be something else besides a bad economy.

And, conservative and Republican that I am, I see Obama’s total failure to provide even the littlest bit of confidence that things will get better.

I’ll leave it to the sociologists to argue how it really isn’t Obama’s fault at all, and that he’s really the greatest president we’ve ever had, and belongs on Mount Rushmore, and focus on the obvious refutation of the lamestring media’s presentation.

I’m not trying to insinuate that you’re one of those idiot leftwing sociology types, but there does come a point when it’s better not to help Obama out of the hole he’s digging for himself.

I, for one, dislike children.

So does my wife - BTW I'm not an lesbian woman, I'm a man.

We both had very awful childhoods and we both know - positively - that the world is a better place because we did not have children.

More power to all of you with your families - congratulations to you all!

Some of us were never meant to be parents.

Well, there are creatures called “dogs” that sound perfect for you.

You can treat them just like children until they do something wrong. Then you can put them out in the back yard without Child Services coming down on you.

I remember a cartoon someone sent me at work. It was a pair of chickens, and the rooster was saying, “See, honey, they don’t taste that bad, and it sure beats sending them to college...”

The Birth Rate of illegal alians is going through the roof and the government is Not reporting that.

These Young females are coming here and having multiple children and they’re Less then a Year apart.

GO to a major metropolitain hospital and you’ll see what I mean. Then their are the Parasites who live off the WIC Program who feel its their right to sponge off of the Tax Payer.

We are in so much trouble.

8% of ALL children born in the United States are born to illegal immigrants.

http://politics.blogs.foxnews.com/2010/08/11/illegal-immigrants-bear-8-children-born-us

Then we find this:

“Costs on average for every illegal alien headed household about $19,600 more if they consume the city services than they pay in taxes, so the rest of the taxpayers have to part costs. Schools become overcrowded, English as second language programs push out other programs.”

http://www6.lexisnexis.com/publisher/EndUser?Action=UserDisplayFullDocument&orgId=574&topicId=100046857&docId=l:1207575906&start=2

And then we realize that illegal immigrants are recognized to be burdens to their OWN country.

http://startthinkingright.wordpress.com/2010/06/03/mexico-says-their-citizens-returning-home-are-a-burden-how-were-they-not-a-burden-to-america/

Our social service agencies are swamped with illegal immigrants obtaining benefits. When I worked for Orange County in R.O.P., we were not allowed to ascertain citizenship. And the number of Hispanics taking advantage of the program was simply stunning.

What we’re seeing is a massive net drain of US resources.

St. Paul put it this way:

“If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” - 1 Tim 5:8

So why are we robbing our own people to provide for those who are not citizens of this country, and calling that “moral”?

I woke up when I saw those Jeremiah Wright tapes and saw Obama’s “spiritual guide” shouting “God damn America!”

I KNEW this slimeball would end up stealing our precious bodily fluids.
