Kos: You Know, 9-11 Wasn’t That Big a Deal

Kos opens a post with the suggestion that people are pretty ignorant about the Constitution:

Nearly every oath of service in this nation includes the phrase "Defend and protect the Constitution of the United States of America" in some form or the other. Not having a King we needed an object of loyalty, something bigger than the individual to focus our loyalty on. It was well planned by the Framers that when taking office each servant of the people would swear to uphold and protect the very document which created this nation.

It is therefore shocking how few of our fellow citizens actually get know or understand what the Constitution says

Now I am inclined to disagree. I think we have someone at the top who does think he is King.

And naturally, anyone who is opposed to building a mosque adjacent to Ground Zero is a religious bigot, as opposed to the symbolism of it all.

Now with the help of the radical Republican propaganda machine the issue of citizens of the Islamic faith are under the same kind of pressure. The intent of a long time Manhattan Imam to build a large community center two blocks (Two New York City blocks, not the dinky things that you and I have in our neighborhoods) from the former site of the World Trade Center has lead to at least one on the radical Right to call for a ban on all mosque or Islamic community centers across the nation.

And why are those bigots so sore? 9-11 just wasn't that big a deal:

Liberals always confuse the Constitution with what the government can and cannot do with what citizens can and cannot do. The Constitution limits the government. Citizens have every right under the Constitution to oppose and protest the building of that mosque.

You know this sounds crazy, but I am starting to agree with his perspective. 3,000 NYers get creamed, we go to war to protect them and then NYers decide the war is horrible and elect a full tilt bonker nut job as prez. I hate to say it, but the ragheads can have NYC, it seems no NYer thinks it worth defending - so why should I care?

Their constitution calls for sharia wherever they take root. This goes well beyond the religious freedoms contemplated in the charter of rights.

Basically, we have a defined INVASION where their judicial system acts invasively against the rights and constitution of the host.

This invasion has to be stopped.

It comes from their belief that all encompassing government is the end-all, be-all of how the world should be run. They don’t see people as individuals - to them we are all just groups. Massive, faceless mobs that need to be led.

The fact that the Constitution specifically enummerates what the government can do and specifically says all other things go to the States or the People is completely lost on them. That just does not fit their big government uber alles world view.

It’s all fun and games until you ride the building down.

Ironically, many of the KOS members would be the first eliminated under Islamic rule or a Marxist revolution.

Neither has any use for:

1) professional agitators( Lenin killed them right away)

2) men hating feminists(get used to arranged marriages, burka and genital mutilation)

3) Atheists( Allah or else)

4) Homosexuals( Stalin and the ayatollahs purged them from the population)

5) artists and movie makers( if the state or the ayatollahs don’t approve, it’s not art)

Actually, the real leftists have felt this way all along. I know some of them. They wouldn’t even talk about it. They thought Bush was using it for power seeking. (Yep, he’s obviously power hungry, as opposed to the Clintons, the shrinking roses)

When I mentioned I thought they should throw Bin Ladin off a building, I was “violent”.

And actually we deserved it. The twin towers were symbols of evil corporations, after all. People just gave us our just deserts.

It’s a sickening mindset that pervades them - they won’t fly flags, say the pledge, whatever. They hate everything that makes this country special.

Somehow, it never occurs to them that the exceptionalism and strength of this country is what gives them and other countries every gift and priviledge they’ve ever had.

They have no concept of the world we would have lived in without the power and concepts of America. They think all these rights and good things would just have “happened” somehow.

On the other hand, I kinda like having the “professional Left” out there running with scissors like this...

Would KOS say that the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor was no big deal?

Would KOS say that the Holocaust was no big deal?

Would KOS say that the attack on the Jewish village during the Olympic Games was no big deal?

Would KOS say that Nazi concentration camps was no big deal?

Would KOS say that Russian gulags was no big deal?

Would KOS say that the Berlin Wall was no big deal?

Invasive is a good word to describe Mexican illegal immigration and Islamic cultural influence. The leftists I know support limitations on invasive plant species but not the human equivalent. Islam=Kudzu.

anyone who is opposed to building a mosque adjacent to Ground Zero is a religious bigot, as opposed to the symbolism of it all.

Islam and Muslims, by their beliefs and actions, have forfeited their right to be treated equally with other religions, just like a criminal forfeits his rights to be treated equally to other citizens. It and they are a threat both within and without to the natural rights of Americans and a threat to the Constitution. The purpose of government is to protect the rights of citizens and the Constitution from within and without.

How about systemic infection?

A systemic infection with FATAL consequences, not potentially fatal as it will consume the American constitution and eradicate all vestiges of American life.

Listen to the nut job, lets take notes...on the only democracy in the Mid East, Israel, he will kill them , destroy them, and erase them from human history....

And they are linked to the cordoba house...

Wow I didn't know that NY had enough voters to elect the Big O President There by nullifying all the rest of the voters that voted for McCain. Good thing my vote for McCain was changed by the NY board of Elections to one for Obama. You just have to love the dumb comments from some who just prattle on about what goes on here in NYC.

The world has seen this kind of attitude before. I'm reminded of Stanley Kramer's 1965 movie "Ship of Fools". Rent it and you'll see what I mean.
