Left Exposes Sherrod Hypocrisy
The American Thinker ^ | August 06, 2010 | Jack Cashill

An insightful article in the sophisticated leftwing site, Counterpunch, further strips Ms. Shirley Sherrod of the martyr's rags she has been wearing since first exposed and then un-exposed as a racist Ag official two weeks back.

The author, Ron Wilkins, had worked under an assumed name at Sherrod's New Communities Incorporated (NCI) in the 1970s. A former organizer with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, Wilkins had been tasked with discovering the reasons for "NCI's continued poor performance."

What he discovered was that at NCI "the young and old worked long hours with few breaks, the pay averaged sixty-seven cents an hour, fieldwork behind equipment spraying pesticides was commonplace and workers expressing dissatisfaction were fired without recourse."

So flagrant was the abuse at NCI that the United Farm Workers stepped in to protect black farm workers from exploitation. For Wilkins' role in organizing NCI's workers, management fired him from his $40 per week job, evicted him from his NCI-provided shack and even orchestrated his arrest. Wilkins tells the story better than I can in "The Other Side of Shirley Sherrod." Worth reading.

Bump!

Lots of links, at the link. The Counterpunch story is pretty interesting. Kudos to Ron Wilkins for having the honesty to bring forth this story to further explode the Myth of Saint Shirley.

Stokley Carmichael and MR. Sherrod were the founders of SNCC which turned into an organization promoting violence against whites.

If you read about Stokley Carmichael on google you will find all you need to know about the Sherrods.

.....NOW you know why the MSM dropped the racist saga so quickly....the more they rant and rave, the more they expose themselves...
But you can bet the ODUMBO administration knew her past...she fits the profile of many appointed CZARS and others with “cloudy” past.

Here is the UFW being recruited to defend underage workers who walked out of New Communities striking for better working conditions because Sherrod William’s Husband would not negotiate.

What gets me is that the JournOlist and other agenda driven people and even many that just want the story to go away are so willing to give a pass to the horrible stuff she said because she claimed she was repentent (wink, nod) afterward.

So, a Nazi can stand up and rant about Jews and then put the disclaimer, "but, that is how I used to believe" or a Klansman can do the same?

This sounds like a pass for saying all kinds of evil and wicked things. They are crazy.

Sure you can, but you must be a democRAT to get the “pass”. It is stongly advised to NOT try this as a republican....

Oh horrors! Saint Shirley mistreated black workers as well as being a race-baiting, progressive???!!! Gee, I wonder if these latest revelations, coming from a left-wing source no less, will finally tarnish that halo Big Media has placed over her head.

Ron Wilkins needs to go on TV.

Who will invite him?
Hannity
O’Reilly

Olbermann
Maddow

Any takers?

He would be great on Beck’s show... a whole hour devoted to Sherrod’s actions and people like her.

Beck did the African-American history show - it was eye opening!
