Yes. It is a typical "liberal" tactic. When they (inevitably) lose an argument or know they are going to lose based on facts and their emotional appeals don't appear to be working, they switch tactics. The typical lib-tard response then is to attack the person, not the argument. Liberalism/socialism/communism simply loses when looked at objectively. So they have to attack the person. You will see this happening in the MSM attacks on conservatives. You'll see it in spades as the campaigns wind up. Particularly towards the end when many 'rats will "go negative" with their ads.

Having worked in Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam and the home of its most extreme form, Wahhabism, I was shocked that a New York City neighborhood community board, in its ignorance, recently voted 29 to 1 to support a request to build a mosque and a Muslim center near Ground Zero.
Muslims have always built mosques on the sites of their conquests.

The Grand Cordoba Mosque was built where a Visigoth Christian church stood.”
