One of the most controversial provisions of the Obama health care reform legislation is the individual health care mandate. This is a requirement that individuals maintain essential health care insurance coverage beginning in 2014 or face an excise tax enforced by the Internal Revenue Service. This provision has already spawned numerous court challenges by individual states challenging whether the federal government has the constitutional authority to compel Americans to buy something they may not want to buy.

I’ll find a way to avoid the penalty, lie, cheat, whatever. If they catch me, they can lock me up as a political prisoner of conscience.

The law actually prohibits the IRS from criminal prosecution or from using liens and levys. The only method they have is to offset refunds. If you plan ahead so you don’t get a refund, you should be good.
Literally 100's of thousands of people will be in effect IRS criminals who cannot afford to pay this "tax"
I suspect that will change. I will not pay a cent.
Obama stays in the WH at least until January 20, 2013. He would veto any attempt at repeal.
