(vanity) Is anyone else noticing that Freerepublic is loading very slowly?

for the last week or two it is taking a long time to load ( if at all) What gives?

My pages load in a few seconds. Seems a little slow, but nowhere near the week or two page load times you’re experiencing! That’s series.

I along with others trying to log on couldn't get on to the Free Republic site the entire day Saturday and had experienced the same problem you've expressed. I did see a post that explained the slowdown due to Free Republic switching to a new IP #.
You might want to do a keyword search using +New + IP #, see what you find.
I don't experience the downloading problems anymore.

There is a new IP address. It takes 16-24 hours to populate routing tables all over the place. In addition, clear your cache so your comp doesn’t go looking for the old IP address.

ya i actually just posted the same question, did not see this yet. I can not get it to load at all on my pc, earlier it was loading really slow. There are no problems on my MAC though.

Seems to be fine with me. In fact, my posts are showing up as soon as I hit the post button, where over the last few weeks, it was delayed in showing up in the thread.... Just from my uneducated view point.
