Part of the health care overhaul due to kick in this September could strip more than 1 million people of their insurance coverage, violating a key goal of President Barack Obama’s reforms.Under the provision, insurance companies will no longer be able to apply broad annual caps on the amount of money they pay out on health policies. Employer groups say the ban could essentially wipe out a niche insurance market that many part-time workers and retail and restaurant employees have come to rely on.
This market’s limited-benefit plans, also called mini-med plans, are priced low because they can, among other things, restrict the number of covered doctor visits or impose a maximum on insurance payouts in a year. The plans are commonly offered by retail or restaurant companies to low-wage workers who cannot afford more expensive, comprehensive coverage.
Depending on how strictly the administration implements the provision, the ban could in effect outlaw the plans or make them so restrictive that insurance companies would raise rates to the point they become unaffordable.
Of course this is part of the Democrats scheme....kick these people off the affordable plans so then they are forced to join the employer funded insurance plan (if they have one...which is unlikely since the penalty will cost less then actually carrying the insurance) or the more likely choice, the state-run exchanges (welfare).

Quite the contrary. It violates a key stated goal of President Barack Obama’s reforms. But it is precisely one of the unstated key goals of President Barack Obama’s reforms.
This is pure madness. When does this get repealed? This has got to stop and stop now.
I am seriously beginning to dislike this President intensely. (I’ve greatly understated my true feelings here in order to remain in Communion with my church.)
I wonder if this will affect the Nov elections?

I’d lay odds that the vast majority of these folks chanted to and fawned over their Savior during election season, crowing to all those “mean rich people” about how he was going to pay their rent, fill their gastanks, and of course, provide them unlimited free medical services.
Always take their numbers times 4 at least to get even close.
