I am posting in the Bloggers section and for the most part I include everything in the post. If others want to see a link I’ve posted, they can, at their OWN digression, choose to visit it or not. I trust people are smart enough to make that decision without you or anyone else complaining about it.

Furthermore, complaining about this seems to be in violation of the Posting Guidelines, which state:

“Don’t be a whiner - If you really, really find Free Republic not to your liking, let the webmaster know directly (webmaster@freerepublic.com), learn to live with it, or move along.”

I encourage you to follow that advise and if the webmaster decides I am not contributing to FR appropriately, let him address me directly.

The video isn’t yours, all you did was find it and embed it.
If your purpose was to get the video seen, it’s easy enough to post it here.

I can be just as assumptive that when you whine and complain about anyone who doesn’t follow YOUR rules, you are jumping up and down like a little dog begging for attention.

Again, since you are so familiar with FR policies, including the one I mentioned, please follow that course of action.

Linking YouTube or any other site is not much difference. Either way you are linking a website. And just because its on YouTube does not mean that is the original source of the video. That is just the medium in which the video is presented.

You get PAID to redirect traffic from FR to your blog.

For this reason, you don't post the full content (or the "borrowed" video)
here, but instead cause folks to visit your blog to see it. Not so?
