THE MOST POWERFUL OFFICE IN THE LAND - THE COMMITTEEMEN

MOST PEOPLE ASSUME that they get to choose their party candidate who runs for office by voting in the primaries. Have you ever wondered who chooses the candidates that run in the primaries? And who decides the requirements of those candidates!

THE CANDIDATES ARE CHOSEN by the special interest groups who in return will do their will for campaign money and then the party bosses dictate to the precinct committeemen who the party is going to support in return for political favors. So, you see before you even get to vote in the primaries the fix is already in and since both parties are corrupt the special interests groups don’t care which party wins.

EACH OF THE 3141 US COUNTIES have an average of 160 committeemen seats, of those seats one third to one half are vacant, of the occupied seats many are appointed. The appointed committeemen have no vote and most of the remaining voting committeemen are influenced by favors from the party bosses.

TO BECOME A COMMITTEEMAN you need only to get about 5 to 10 signatures on your petition from the people in your voting district. Because of the many vacancies and appointments most seats will be won unopposed. If you are challenged then your name will appear on the ballot in the primaries and the candidate with the most votes will win. Because we are more highly motivated we should win majority of the challenged seats.

IF WE SEEK OUT PEOPLE in the tea parties and all the liberty meetup groups we can easily find 160 people to become committeemen in each of the 3141 US counties. And then “We the People” get to decide who the candidates will be and not the corrupt party bosses and special interest groups.

TAKE BACK THE REPUBLIC maintains a strong focus on the precinct committeeman system and our endeavor is to find 50 State and 3141 County Coordinators we also realize the possibility, while achieving our endeavor, of uniting all the liberty groups across America by providing a platform that is a “true grass roots” controlled vehicle. A vehicle without any National leadership, without a gatekeeper; A vehicle that just simply provides a social networking site where the only voices heard are the people, a real no talk down organization! A place where everything is in the open and where we have 100% sharing of our database which is the lifeline of any “true grassroots organization;

TO LEARN HOW TO BECOME A COMMITTEEMEN

I should go learn the difference between singular and plural first, if I were you.

There are enough FReepers to fill every empty seat on these committees. FReepers could probably even win a lot of the contested seats if we run for them.

I served 3 terms as a Committeeman. Don't be under any illusions, though. The local organizations can be just as corrupt as the State and National parties.

On the positive one can get elected with as few as 50 votes.

Just be sure to WALK your precinct and pay attention to every single rule no matter how silly it seems.

There are already good "committeemen" in place. All you have to do is read the present National Republican Party Platform to see evidence of their work.

To prove my point I must relate something that happened just this weekend at my district Republican convention.

For the better part of 15 years, pro-lifer committemen have been working to secure that the right to life, among other topics, was truly embedded in the platform. Every year we could expect at least an entire afternoon of wrangling between the pro-life and pro-choice Republicans. Every two years the pro-lifers got stronger and stronger. This last weekend we stood in amazement that NO ONE voiced any descent anywhere before the district conventions. The plank was just passed on by as if it was a settled issue. Because it is.

We also had an interesting participant who is running for office as a staunch conservative. He said that he had explored the Libertarian party only to become disgusted. A friend suggested he read the Republican platform, which he did. He said, "Everything I have been working for all my life is tucked inside that little document."

Yes, it all starts in the grassroots. But, let me assure you that the committeemen have been working all these many years.

The present Republican platform is a magnificent support of the Constitution.

Anyone who wants to should be able to enter the primaries. Who gets to put the party endorsement next to their name on the primary ballot should be decided by the district endorsing convention. And the delegates to the district endorsing convention should be chosen by the precinct caucuses.

Did any of you folks outside Minnesota hear about how Michele Bachmann first became a state legislator? It wasn't because the MN GOP central committee decided she would be a good candidate. In fact, the GOP establishment fought her every step of the way. But where would we be without her?

I served two terms as a County Vice Chair, with a conservative Chairman. It was a learning experience, there are forces within the party that cause unexpected things to happen.

When conservatives are in charge of local organizations, the corruption lurks outside the organization, the big donors close their wallets.

I was asked to run for County Chairman the last election, I refused, for several reasons, the main being, if McCain wins his primary I would have been obligated to at least give his campaign lip service, which I won’t do.

We have an excellent Central Committee Chairman. She is conservative, makes sure candidates adhere to the Republican Party Platform before they are endorsed. Our Committee Chairman reaches out to the Tea Party movement.

The key for an effective Central Committee is to fill enough precincts with conservatives who can then cast their elected votes for chairman.

Our county's Republican Central Committee is not influenced by special interests or under-handed tactics. The precinct committeemen love America and want make sure that those who govern will adhere to the Constitution and laws of this land.

To change the state party there has to be a majoriy of conservative precinct committeemen to cast their votes for a conservative Regional State Central Committee candidate.

When we can get enough conservatives as precinct committeemen, we will be able to throw the RHINOS out of the State Republican Central Committees. Then we will see a big change in government.

It all starts from the bottom and works up . . . servant leadership.

Power hungry people ruin the political process.

Our Repubican women's club has done much to get people involved in politics, educate the electorate on the issues, and train up future leaders.

Too many people like to stay in leadership and never pass the batton to the next generation.
