I’m a 4th generation Texan living in Idaho now, but if I was home,...it would be Medina for me.
I don’t like headlines like this, they imply that the Tea Party is actually a political party.
Medina hands down...Rick Perry is politics as usual..so is KBH. I think we need new blood in as many places as possible as soon as possible...and then again in a couple of years...until they get that they serve at the leisure of the people.
“Medina winning the election and setting about replacing property taxes and exercising state sovereignty will lead the nation into prosperity. I think it’s a good use of your funds. Thanks for getting on the band wagon. Let us know if we can help out your way. “
Well Said, every one has their marching orders , now lets put on our boots , roll up our sleeves and get Debra Medina elected Gov. of Texas
I would love it if K Bailout withdrew before the primary.
In our dreams!
I know I am dreaming, but K is a DC insider and Texans don’t like what is there now.
Since when do FReepers slobber over everything the Mainstream Media writes?
Hopey Changie Ron Paul style?
Misleading title.
“Tea Party’s Debra Medina”???
Last I heard she was not endorsed by any Tea Party organization.
Yes, isn't that special.
That is exactly correct.
The Tea Party organizations have embraced Sarah Palin who endorsed Perry not Medina but the Tea Party is not a political party.
If your daughter had cervical cancer do you think you would feel the same way?

She may have attended a tea party function or two, that I don’t know. But Perry had boots on the ground working the crowd and signing up voters, etc. I suspect Medina or someone in her campaign is trying to play this as it really isn’t.
The country is signaling change this election year but I’m not sure Texas is hoping on that bandwagon at the governorship level even with the distrust of Perry and Hutchison.
I’d feel worse if she was one of the girls who died from the vaccine -
especially if she was chaste!

If she loses, she stays in DC to finish her term....doesn’t she?
Yes, she has promised to go back to the senate.
“If your daughter had cervical cancer do you think you would feel the same way?”
We prefer to retain the freedom to make medical decisions for our kids. The HPV decision is not black and white—there is a risk/reward analysis involved. For example, part of the parents’ decision might involve their understanding of the child’s behavior (and how that family values sex outside of marriage). Many doctors, including my brother and my State Rep (a well-known doctor outside of being a State Rep.) were against the mandate.
Remember, anyone can go get the vaccine right now. Thats called freedom.
On top of this, the way the mandate came down (via Executive Order, not via the Legislature) smelled bad.
“If she loses, she stays in DC to finish her term....doesnt she?”
Yes, she won in 2006 so her term is until 2012, at which time she is free to run again. KBH did say that she would resign after the 2010 primary, but she could change her mind. Nothing prohibits a seated Senator from running for Gov.
For starters look up Debra Medina's column 'Latinos and the GOP'
'Its a shame isnt it, that Republicans continue to ignore Hispanics especially here in Texas?' Debra Medina
'Ignore them', Mrs Medina? Since when? What more do you want? Or shouldn't we ask?
Medina ad:
Who is going to think more about Latino families? Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison or me, who has a Latino family? (Medinas cultural heritage is German and Bohemian.)
She told a colleague last month in an e-mail. Being married, however, to someone with a Mexican American heritage, I certainly embrace the culture. But before she explained that, she told my colleage, who had asked her whether she considers herself Latina: Id not consider myself anything other than a wife and mother, a nurse and a patriot. I believe we too often get into race when its immaterial.
No, Thanks, Mrs Medina.
She is also running Spanish ads. Hello Mrs.Medina! If they cannot speak English then they have no business voting IMO. When they learn English then let them vote. Assimilate. Learn English. Appreciate all America gives you.
So Im sure she is blowing a lot of hot air just like Obama did just to get elected. Running those ads and saying what she has, tells me the border issue is just a try to get votes for herself.
Medina is about as qualified to be Governor as zero was to be President- want to re-visit how that is working out? She's a Libertarian running on the Republican ticket. She is supported by the Ron Paul worship crowd and she herself has acted in the Ron Paul worship capacity. She has demonstrated a lack of knowledge about Texas law and current ballot initiatives.
No, thanks, Ill stick with ol RINO Perry. Texas has remained in better shape than almost any if not all of the states in the union under Perry's watch. As someone said, 'he's the devil we know'.
The motly crew running for governor is laughable; a MUSLIM, a trecherous RINO woman* (Hutchison) and a woman with questionable loyalties
*Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchisons amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.

Thanks Roy. I’m with ya’.
When was the last time you were involved in a fight for freedom? I dont mean just your regular run of the mill political race. I mean a roll up your sleeves, take it to the streets, now or never campaign, waged because you know you stand to lose your way of life. Youll lose the ability to decide your own healthcare or the ability to keep your guns for protection. Well this is it. The Debra Medina campaign is THE fight for freedom in Texas. This is the last line in the sand.
Why have we, the fighting Texans who were once so bold as to be our own country, not taken the lead in declaring our sovereignty which is already the first part of our own Constitution? Why have we not been the first to say NO to Obamacare? Why have we allowed federal agents to come into our own capitol city and on a whim, without warrant, close down a premier gun show? Why have we Texans allowed 400 children to be taken from their parents, from a prank call, without warrant? Why has our own governor threatened to take millions of acres of private property through eminent domain? This is NOT FREEDOM.
Other states have put their foot down against Obamacare, federal gun laws, illegal immigration and federalized education. We can do it now and with Debra Medina as our governor, we will!
We have worked so hard and now because we are becoming a force in this race, our opponents are starting to attack. They are feeling threatened and they are biting like cornered animals. They have tried to keep us out of the debates and started whisper campaigns with false rumors because if they have nothing on you, they make something up about you. It is starting to get dirty but we will remain calm understanding that our fight is the fight for truth and truth sets us free.
So, take it to the streets. Tell your neighbors about Debra Medina. Wave signs and put a bumper sticker on your car. Take every opportunity to knock on doors with your family. Blog and text and email about the Debra Medina campaign being the fight for freedom in Texas!
Never before have we had such an opportunity in Texas because right now, with this race, we have someone to lead with courage and boldness. We can, and will, tell the federal government that we are Texans and we will not allow you to come into our state and tell us what to do with our health care, our gun laws or our children because we are free people and free people make their own choices.
Early voting is just around the corner, starting February 16th 26th. Be the first in your neighborhood to vote and make sure your friends are right there with you.
This is our time. This is our state. We Texans can take it back!
The Debra Medina Team
