Not really true.

Rudy isn’t completely worthless. He has his strong suits that conservatives will praise. Prety certain he’s never earned the type of disgust McCain or Lindsey carry with them for most here.

It’s just that he’s a liberal. A few conservative positions but a liberal. When he ran for President it was necessary to focus only on his Liberal positions. To take a strong active stance against him. The primaries are over now. I suspect the feeing is he’ll only he raked across the coals when he gives a liberal position. His liking Sarah isn’t going to cause people to turn against her.

If Arlen said he liked her and started pushing for her to be President then people might wonder what was happening.

I love the way people narrow it down to just a social issue problem with Rudy. He is just as pro gun control as most dems and he likes govt. to spend money on nanny items like Huckabee. So it’s not just social issues.

It seems some RINOs use the idea that the social issue is the only problem to try to isolate social conservatives. But most conservatives knows there’s more trouble than that with Rudy. Hence, Rudy’s big time failure to thrive in the 2008 presidential elections.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate Rudy. He’s a NY conservative which like a Massachusetts conservative or a New England conservative means liberal anywhere else. He’s a dyed in the wool RINO, but unlike Scuzzyfava, he would never tell his supporters to vote for the democrat.

I wonder, with Sara’s support in ny state and Rudy’s in nyc is it sheer fantasy that together on a ticket they could take NY or NJ? He could be a good vp pick for her. I’m 1000% for Sarah but she may need someone like him as a vp candidate.

As far as I'm concerned the people of NYC can accept the Constitution in it's unabridged form, or they can move to wherever suits them better. If they had a little more backbone up there they wouldn't be up to their armpits in barbarians, and living in fear.

Expecting me to give up my inalienable right because of their self created problem is way too much to ask.

Expecting government to handle your minute by minute self defense is the ultimate welfare addiction. It requires government powers far beyond safe levels for a free nation.

They've let the barbarians dig in, in NYC, and other, similar places, and it will be rough to straighten out. It's a local problem, but NYC style gun control on a national level will let it spread across the land.

My neighborhood is safe, my neighbors and I keep it that way, with a shotgun by every door. It would work in NYC, if they'd try it!

The NYC Sullivan Act wasn't about public safety, it was to protect a crooked political machine. Maybe that is still the situation!

The picture is posted on another thread.

They used a picture from Sarah's Running World Magazine interview. She is dressed in a running outfit, shorts and sneakers.

The Story line on the cover is very disrespectful, What do we do about Sarah Palin?, and some other tripe. If I find it, I'll post the link.

Thanks VR. Rudy's a good ally for Sarah. I wouldn't vote for him for president but his anti-corruption, fiscally conservative, strong military stance could be an asset to her down the line. He's supported her from the get-go and I respect that.

On another note, get a load of this post at HA regarding the book signing at Sam's Club in Washington, PA next Saturday:

"My wife and I just made reservations in Washington,PA for next Friday. Called Sam’s club and they’re expecting 40,000 people on Saturday for her book signing. Got to get in line early. Good thing she’s doesn’t matter."
40,000 at a book signing? If it's even close to that it will be bedlam.

40,000 for a book signing? That's FORTY THOUSAND for cri yi. That is almost a big enough crowd to earn a mention in the paper.

Schmuck? You’re too kind.

Eric Holder is a denser piece of pure, unadulterated evil than Bambi is. And that’s saying a LOT.

As BOTH an original member of the “Stop Rudy” ping list during the last Primary campaign, AND one the founding two FR Palinistas during the VP selection process, I would love to see a Palin/Giuliani ticket.

I think her winning the primary would alienate a lot of the George Will/East Coast types. But I think that giving them Rudy as the VP pick would do for them what Palin did for us as far as enthusiasm, and suddenly finding real reason to back the ticket. The Moderate GOP folk LOVE Rudy, and would do EVERYTHING they could to help make him VP.

Honestly, I think that Palin/Giuliani, besides being the media’s absolute worst nightmare, would be a electoral success.

>>>This has a huge potential turn the phony archconservatives around here into Sarah-bashers.

It has always been just a matter of time. To illustrate there were threads a few days ago bashing Joe Wilson (”Obama lied”) as a RINO. “shut the f-— up blah blah blah”.

The paulites and birchers having recently been riding along on Sarah like leeches, but they will eventually have to demonize her as well.

And good for Rudy.

I don’t agree with some of Rudy’s positions on social issues, but I’ve never seen him try to push them as an agenda in opposition to his constituency. He’s more of a “the people have spoken” kind of guy than the typical “I know what’s best for you” politico.

Careful. For a sizeable portion of this forum, anything Rudy is for, they are against.

On the other hand, if Palin has the ability to garner the support of the Giuliani-type Republicans without compromising her core principles, than that's a very good thing, indeed.
