“Despite Americans’ decisive message last Tuesday that they reject the troubling path this country has been taking, Speaker Pelosi has broken her own promises of transparency to ram a health “care” bill through the House of Representatives just before midnight. Why did she push the 2,000 page bill this weekend? Was she perhaps afraid to give her peers and the constituents for whom she works the chance to actually read this monstrous bill carefully, if at all? Was she concerned that Americans might really digest the details of a bill that the Wall Street Journal has called ‘the worst piece of post-New Deal legislation ever introduced’?

The ENTIRE House is up for reelection in 2010. This should make the vote all the more interesting. If Ob’s having this many problems when he has the majority in both houses, he’s going to have a really hard time when he doesn’t. Our Founding Fathers principles and ideals are being flushed away by those in power (who keep getting elected somehow) whose only concern is their own pocketbook. If the American people are forced in to this health care reform, then EVERY member of congress should be lining up to sign up for it. Then, I’d believe it was “good for America”.
I keep telling people, it’s time to march on Washington and physically drag these people out of their offices and try them for treason. The US government does not represent the people anymore, they represent themselves and they represent special interests.

Civil unrest is called for on a grand scale. I seriously don’t thin people had a grasp on how out of control this government has become. The USA has been taken over folks.I’m sure Jefferson , Washington and Franklin and crew would sanction revolution by this point.

Sarah Palin has become an annoying personality that grates on people in big way. I used to like her a lot more than I do now. All she seems to be able to do is get under peoples skin. There is a reason why she is becoming less and less popular amongst conservatives.
I said right after the election she should go back to Alaska and fly under the radar for 2 years. She should have taken that advice.

Palin has as much right as you or I to express an opinion. The only difference is, people actually listen to her. Frankly, she is the only conservative I hear taking it to the idiots who support this DeathCare crap. The rest seem to be too cowardly to speak up. Too afraid to risk their congressional “friendships,” or in the case of Barney Frank, their “boyfriendships.”

Strokes and public dissent is in order. We need to be organized . I think FR is a good starting point. I wish Jim Robinson would chime in . We also need to consolidate all the many anti Obama groups out there into one MASIVE organization. We need to put specific differences aside and fly under one banner. Do we have someone on FR with excellent writing skills. We need a letter drafted to #1 put Congress on notice that we are at war with them so to speak and #2 a letter to all conservatives groups to come together for the purpose of saving the country . I disagree. She was saddles by frivolous law suite that cost the state a mil and here 1/2 a mil. They want her gone. Well all the suits have been dismissed. She is now free to sue for defamation. She is making money and getting visibility noticeable. You will see her every where on her book tour. She is a viable candidate.

I can give you an example, when Palin entered the race I was thrilled, I liked her. I was glad to see her in the race. Now, I wouldn’t vote for her for dog catcher. Reason #1 she was not smart enough to out smart Couric-which my 6 year old could do-she blames McCain team says she was unprepared-how the hell are you unprepared when you know you are meeting the enemy. Let that one go. Reason #2 her family-there is way way too damn much drama. Period-it is continually something, & she keeps it going by responding to it. Pardon me have some dignity. Reason #3 A woman candidate has to be tough as nails but at the same time I am southern enough to know at other times you have to beat them at their game. Letterman is prime example-his behavior was borish & ignorant at best, but the way Palin handled it gave it more credence & put her in the category of sounding like a fish wife. Why did she respond at all? If a MAN insulted one of my daughters her father would have responded first. So are we saying here that Todd is too big of wimp-that he is going to let someone insult his wife & children? Or is he so ineffective that Palin herself has to fend for herself & children-either way it is tacky. Good role models for Palin would be Laura Bush, Liz Cheney-they both are tough as nails but they still know how to remain a woman, they can insult you & have you thank them for it-Palin can’t & that offends a lot of people, especially in my region. I have heard lots of people who supported her during the election turning on her in the last 2 months. The more rabid Palin supporters defend her the more resistant people become. She would not be a good candidate in 2012 may in 2020 but not in 12-reason she is seen as a loser(McCain-her blame game works about as well as Obama’s is) & quitter (pardon me if your too weak to hang & I don’t give a flip about your excuses in fact would respect more if would be honest). Amazingly for my being in AL a name I hear being bantered about is Michele Bachman-& no one can find dirt or drama on her.

Your ‘reason #1’ is the fault of the campaign. Your ‘reason #2’ is all the media. Attacking all her family, starting with the youngest. Of course she is going to get pissed. Your ‘reason #3’ just tells me you want someone that will tow the line of the liberal media.
As for people ‘turning’ on her, I wonder, other than Bachmann, who do they favor. Huckabee, Pawlenty, Romney? Are you buying the negative spin from the media? Are your friends buying the negative spin from the media? It seems as though you and they are. Will you throw conservatives under the bus if the media continuously paints them in a negative way?
