The US House will vote on Health Care Bill tonight
A Blog for People who Love America ^ | Florencia Miguez

Tonight, the US House of Representatives will vote on a bill, that if approved by both Houses of Congress and signed into law by President Barack Obama, would mean a major takeover of 1/6 of the American economy by the government.

The bill proposes a new public plan, that would compete with private insurance in what the Democrats call “national health insurance exchange.” Even though the bill itself doesn’t propose a single-payer system, many independent experts argue that this bill would “evolutionate” towards a single-payer system.

I am asking you to join me on contacting our congresspeople. You still have time! Fax them, call them, e-mail them, or do anything, but contact them. Contact the Representative that represents your district, but also, if you can, try to fax or phone Blue dogs, if the democrats don’t have their votes, the bill is dead…

Here are some things you can include in your fax, letter, e-mail, etc., that if you have a little common sense you probably oppose

*Lower payments to physicians. *Less quality of care. Less investments by the private sector to introduce new technologies. *Shortage of doctors, since there would be little economic incentives, and less talented people would want to study so hard and make huge sacrifices for little money. Less doctors also mean less medical research and less medical progress. *400 billion cuts in Medicare *Tax increases FOR EVERYBODY. *The end of Medicare Advantage Plan. *A fine and/or jail time to all those who don’t have health insurance. *This bill is a complete assault on our freedom. *40% tax on medical premiums. *Medical device like pacemakers, heart valves, artificial limbs, hip replacements, etc., will all be taxed.

Make your voice heard!!!!

Considering what happened at Ft. Hood, you'd think Congress would be a lttle respectful and stop pounding this bill for the weekend.

Dems are not just rotten reps...they're rotten people.

Neither will I. I will defy anything in it. If it’s on my IRS tax forms, I will cross it out and ignore it.

Yup, if it passes it will be time for civil disobedience. The great thing is, we already have the organization in place to quickly initiate this and the dumbocrats and Rinos know this. I don’t think conservatives have ever been as organized as they are now.

I agree, however, these thieves will probably mandate employers to withhold the money from your paycheck. Just like income tax and FICA, they’ll consider it THEIR money before you have a chance to get it in your hands. Unless you are self-employed, you’ll never see that money.

So...what if small companies hire everyone as contractors...Pay them more, not be responsible for health insurance and be done with it.

I think there’s an exemption for very small businesses. I’m going to set up one, just for the purposes of getting out from under 0bummerCare. All legal, of course.

Recommend that to everyone.

What most people fail to realize is that this country is broke. It doesn't make any difference what the Democrats do and what meaningless victory they achieve this Bill will never make it.

The reasons being that our Debt is expanding at a compounded annual rate of 8.5%, our GDP will never ever be high enough to overtake that figure and we as a nation pay down that debt.

The next financial crisis is coming and most likely will be far worse than the last 24 months.

There is the real possibility of this nation defaulting on it's debt. Right now we already spend $500 Billion of the budget on interest payments.

What is going to happen when interest rates finally go up and this country's borrowing costs increase? The Fed can't control Interest Rates and continue to buy our own debt forever. To avoid default the budget would have to be balanced and then you have your choices of what entitlement programs to eliminate.

Will it be Social Security, Medicare, Drug Program, or the new Health Care Reform???????????????

Social Security is probably the only one that can't be eliminated so there are your choices.

Passing this irresponsible Bill is and would be the final act of Fiscal Madness by the Democrats.

As it is , and I have been predicting this, the Democrats led by Pelosi would just as soon fall on their swords for this Pyrrhic victory and lose seats just to say they did regardless of the consequences.

What we are witnessing is the final Act of Total Moronic Irresponsibility by the Democrats and may they forever be Damned and Burned because of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In theory, that is an excellent idea, however, in truth, the IRS has very specific definitions as to what constitutes a “contractor” vs an “employee.” Hint: these definitions make it illegal to do what you have suggested.

If you claim someone is a contractor and they violate only one of some 15 check points the IRS says must all be satisfied for the person to be considered a real contractor, then the IRS will claim they are really an employee and screw you for back witholding, penalties plus interest. Of course they wont do that immediately, they’ll wait until you’ve had this person on your books for 2-3 years until they challenge their “contractor” status...then smash you and your business with an enormous amount of fines, penalties, interest, etc. Nice, huh?

Don’t even think of cheating them out of “their” money. /sarc.

What would happen if 100 million Americans just decided not to file or pay their taxes? Would they be able to come an arrest ALL of them?

I was listening to Levin last night and he quoted a number indicating the for a family to pay for insurance that meets all requirements (as articulated in the bill), it will cost $15,000 per year.

i’ve been trying to explain this to people for a very long time. they just don’t think it’ll happen.

it’s going to be ugly

on the bright side... the only way to get rid of liberals for good would be to have them fail... and fail very publicly... so we’ll be able to hold up the dead husk of liberalism as a reminder for those that may forget

of course, in order for that to work... they would have to OWN the devastation, and right now they are succeeding in hanging it around the necks of GW and the GOP

Well they own it now and forever. Blaming Bush is running out of steam. They own the coming Depression and and the consequences of not having a real plan for the economy.

The complacent Media will also suffer for this and their own failure to expose all of the corruption in this whole mess with the banks and Congress.

The worst is coming now and I doubt anything can stop it..
