This hasn't gotten half the play it should have and for good reason; President Obama's weird, off-putting introduction to his remarks about the Fort Hood massacre reveal him to be something of a cold fish. Shocking insensitivity.

I do not blame other officers and soldiers for ostracizing the man or calling him on his open comments where he was siding with the enemy. I blame Hasan himself, and the system that kept him in place after he so openly opposed his own and sided with the enemy. The man should have certainly been nowhere near soldiers returning from or shipping out to the war zone...and should have been drummed uncerimoniously and without honor out of the service.
This was a case of Jihad within the ranks plain and simple, like Sgt. Akbar's despicable actions in 2003.
Hopefully this Jihadist will get the same sentence as Akbar got and they both will be more quickly carried out.
Obama's response (or more appropriately named, non-response) has been disgusting, but not surprising, IMHO.

This was the attitude of Czar Nicholas II towards the Russian military in WWI which led towards extreme disgust with the man. Czar Nicky abdicated the throne with pistols from his military officers aimed at his head.

I thought it was very telling when Michelle O was recently interviewed and asked to describe the Big Zero and she immediately said, “He’s perfect” and then hastily went on to blather about tennis or something.
I suspect that at times he makes her crazy with his superior attitude and the fact that he is convinced he is God.
I once knew someone similar to the Big Zero and, over the years, he gradually went rather nuts.
Obama was raised a moslem. He would not care if a bunch od non believers are killed by a fellow moslem. He does not care what happens to any non believer and that is why he is killin America.

President Obama is Commander-in-Chief. The buck stops at his office. That means President Obama is liable for those crimes, unless he enforces the law and holds his officers accountable for the events to occur.
The worst possible state of affairs between officer and enlisted is for an officer to draw a weapon on an enlisted man. Nothing else causes more damage to trust faith and confidence in the chain of command.
What has the Commander-in-Chief done as a leader, a commander, or even a public figure whi is in the direct chain of command of the perpetrator of this crime?

I only watched bits and pieces of O’Reilly last night (”The March of the Penguins” was being shown on the Weather Channel), but the Peters segment was worth watching. I must have missed the disgusting parts of the program.
O’Reilly was waffling so much it was disgusting. That may have been because Geraldo Rivera was sitting in the studio with him. Rivera is always ready to read-into the mind of a criminal, and quick to excuse a minority.

The first thing that came to my mind was the near “sprint” to the microphone our Dear Leader did to express his OUTRAGE over the STUPID actions of the OBVIOUSLY RAAAACIST Cambridge Police Officer for arresting (what videp tapes proved) the mouthy, beligerant, (though by Obama’s claims he was a dear, profoundly educated leader in this field) Prof. Gates. THAT was importantly race baiting and agenda fitting.
Some “profoundly educated leader in his (military psychiatric) field, dear Muslim (obviously, like Prof. Gates a victim of RAAAACISM) shooting up a bunch a soldiers in Texas...well...what is there to find outrage in that?
