PelosiCare vote pushed to Tuesday
The Patriot Room ^ | November 6, 2009 | Clyde Middleton

Just got this writing in an e from Rep. Marsha Blackburn:

As I write this, Members are being informed that the health care debate is likely to extend through the weekend. A final vote may not come until Tuesday. The Rules Committee, the body that decides what amendments will and not be considered on H.R. 3962 is meeting now. I am waiting my turn to offer a series of amendments that would make H.R. 3962 a better bill.

I hope the Blue Dogs tell her they will vote for the bill...and then all vote against it. They should then call for new leadership in the House and fire her...and most of the committee chairmen’s sorry @$$3$.

Whaaaaaa??!?! I haven’t heard this? Is this just breaking now? Everything I’ve heard is that they’re still short, but it’s still scheduled for tomorrow. I pray this thing goes down, and goes down big.

I was worried that all the blue dogs would pull a stunt of doing a no vote.

When I was looking at one of the other controversial votes, that is what they did.

The ones that couldn’t support it and didn’t want to upset their leadership just didn’t vote.

I don’t know what would happen in this case if they pulled the same game. I suspect it would be bad politically for them but not as bad as voting for it.

There won't BE a vote until/unless they know they have the votes.

For it to be voted down would be FATAL to both Pelosi and Hoyer.

Marsha Blackburn needs to do everything to kill the bill! There will be no amendment that will make it better unless her amendment says evrything past the title is VOID!

I don't suppose there is any procedural trick the Republicans can pull to FORCE the vote, is there?

I think that someone needs to add an addendum to add ANIMALS to this stimulus bill, WHY I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT AMERICANS ACTUALLY DON’T CARE WHETHER THEIR DOGGY, OR KITTY DOESN’T GET THE SAME TREATMENT. Americans are caring people. We need to add ANIMALS to this Pelosi Care, and then I WILL SUPPORT IT and so will the American VET association.

ACTION ALERT

With handy, clickable contact information

Here are all the Blue Dog Democrats. The clickable links go to their online Message System. You can use this local district information --- City, State, Zip, and Area Codes-- to get through their spam filter. If they ask for a Zip+4, you can use any 4 digits added onto the indicated Zip Code.

The way I do it is, first copy all this information into a different (word) program. Then copy the line that has the city, zip, etc. for that particular district. The click the HTTP thingie to get into the Message System. Then paste the info. into one of the blanks, and point and drag the city, zip, etc. onto the correct lines.

Go get ‘em.

Watch out! I wouldn't put it past them to announce there will be no vote and then have one anyway. Lull some dissenters into thinking they've won and then sock it to ‘em with a quick vote, hoping to catch some of them no there to vote.

Seems like the same thing when a Democrat loses in a close race, they call for recounts until they win... they are going to stall this thing until they get , bribe, threaten to get the votes.
