Senator Barbara Boxer Breaks Senate Committee Rules The liberal California senator passed the dems cap-&-tax legislation out of committee without a single GOP member in attendance. This is against the rules and the first time it has ever happened.
Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) discussed the outrageous move by the democrats:
The Politico reported:
The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee approved climate change legislation Thursday with no Republicans voting for the bill or even participating in the process.
With Republican boycotting the proceedings, Committee Chairman Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) relied on a little used interpretation of committee rules to move the legislation. Traditionally, two minority members are required to conduct committee business.
Boxer said that she passed the bill in full accordance with long-standing committee and Senate rules.
This is not a procedure we wanted; its a procedure thats available to us, said Boxer. The majority has to be able to do its work otherwise the whole Senate could come to a screeching halt.
Republicans called Boxers move the nuclear option, warning that it violated decades of committee precedent.
I am here to appeal to you and the members of the committee, Sen. Jim Inhofe, the top Republican on the committee, said in a brief statement. In the history of this committee, we have not been able to find a time when the bill has been marked up without minority.
If it’s against the rules.....oh wait...rules don’t apply to anything anymore.
The tyranny continues!!!!!

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
Obama: If they make a mistake, I dont want them punished with a baby.
Ihave a word for her and all her rat buddies and it rhymes with witch!
Isn’t halloween over? Looks like one of those mischievious little evil gargoyles got out of it’s packed up ‘Boxer’ again.
BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bet she did it because she knew it would not get any press with the Ft. Hood killings blotting out all other news.
Sounds like it’s against precident, not against the rules.
Very poorly written article
I’m just waiting for 2010. She’ll get hers.
The only rule the Democratzi’s follow is: The rules only apply to Republicans.
Don’t count on it-— the majority of her voters are little, twisted dingbats themselves! Unfortunately we get what they deserve!
Remember when the Reps were afraid to use the nuclear option to get judicial nominees to the floor for an up and down vote? Then the Gang of 14 got involved. The Dems have no compunction to using power and the Reps act like a bunch of wimps even when they are in the majority.
What goes around, comes around. When we are back in the majority, and that will happen, it’s our turn.
So you don’t think the GOP will stand up for the rules? /sarc
TYRANNY BUMP :( !!!!!!!!!!!!
Wish there was a Tyranny ping list.
Never let a crisis go to waste!
Inhofe is still a limpwrist.
Start using the ‘treason’ word, start using the secession word, start real agitation, Inhofe and the Republicans will fall like Trotsky in the coming months if they don’t start playing all in with every vote in each house of Congress.
Kabuki theater isn’t going to cut it this time Senator Inhofe, et al.
This bitch is taking advantage of the fact that the entire country is looking at the shootings in Killeen, Texas and she pulls a fast one. The dems have nothing but contempt for this country and its citizens.
box of rocks ping.....
Well I understand your emotion about this, but I disagree that “it’s our turn”. We don’t break the rules. We’ve been the guys that have put minority rules in place that enusre the minority party (when they were democrats) had some leverage and some say in what went on. These democrats are trashing the very rules the Republicans put in place to ensure when THEY were the minority party they could be involved and have a chance to put amendments and be part of the process.
