What concerned me was you could see his weapons sight overlapping the helicopter Blades at one point in the Video.
I hope they have some kind of Safety to keep them from shooting themselves down.
I believe the camera and gun are at seperate positions but aimed at the same spot.
You are looking at the HUD on the helmet which can look anywhere. The gun is governed so it can’t shoot any part of the helo.
The guys on the ground were asking about a good route in. And the other guys who were going to ambush them...well, that looked like an awfully bad day. That’s what they mean by “combined arms.” Somewhere Crazy Horse is smiling...
The discussion after the strike was really interesting — I always enjoy hearing the guys talk...
That does make sense.
The HUD allows the Gunner to place the crosshairs in many positions,
But the Gun itself can only move within a certain range.
So I am thinking that weapons Lock can only be achieved
when the HUD crosshairs are within the Guns Range of Fire.
