If true, I suppose we are now in solidarity with Iranian dissidents and any other country whose citizens are rising up against totalitarian rule.

AWESOME

I agree. Peaceful protest, and publicity from arrests helped the Civil Rights Movement. "Letter from the Birmingham Jail" is a masterpiece of logic and a road map for peaceful protest bringing about change.

The activists who risk arrest supposedly clamoring for peace social justice, when they get in power this is what they do. They show their true colors.

More Accurate Title: DEMOCRATS HAVING OWN CONSTITUENTS ARRESTED FOR BELIEFS!!!

Next it will be: DEMOCRAT CONGRESS DEMANDS CONCENTRATION CAMPS BE UTILIZED FOR THEIR CONSTITUENTS!!!

A third of the electorate will think thats a great idea.

BIG MISTAKE!

That will really raise the IRE of the constituent's. Rightly so.

When citizens are arrested for attempting to meet their Senator peaceably ... Goodbye Senator. No support on anything might well follow. Shunning by his own state and others as well.

GOOD IDEA!

The protesters were arrested about 10 a.m. were charged with unlawful entry, a Capitol Police spokeswoman said.

This could get interesting. I suspect it was more than just asking to meet with their Senator. If they were asked to leave, and refused -- then they could be charged.

Of course, the question is why they were asked to leave. If they weren't being disruptive, there's no grounds to do so.

when you are told not to go somewhere and you go there. or when you are told to leave somewhere and you do not leave. it's trespass by another name.

it's federal property so it might be easier to arrest.

“Get these peons out of here.” “Who the hell do they think I am?” “For God sakes, I’m a Senator.” These and other similar quotes could be heard echoing around the emptying, hallowed, hollow halls of post-American power.

We need to find out who she is and get her face all over the media.

Presumably, you can’t walk onto the floor of the House or Senate or get up and sit in the chair of a Supreme Court Justice, or just walk in the front door of the White House and demand to be taken to the Oval Office or waltz into a nuclear missile base and push the button.

Public property does not imply unrestricted public access.

I don’t think you can “barge into” a Senator’s office or create a disturbance anywhere in the Capitol Building. Of course, barging in and creatign a disturbance are often in the eye of the beholder.
