Hey gays, I mean guys, can I talk to you for a minute? Last Tuesdays loss in Maine was a tough blow (definitely no pun inteded, gross). 31 states have now shot down gay marriage. Here's the thing, you are going about it all wrong.
If you want the government to stay out of your lives, so that you can live the lifestyle you want, why are you lobbying so hard for the government to interfere on the issue?
If you want to continue to gay-out with your lovers, without the government telling you no, then why are you trying to get the government to say that it is ok? If you want religious people and conservative people to accept your lifestyle, then why are you drawing battle lines, and attacking a union they hold sacred? You couldn't do anything more detrimental to your cause.
Quit the push for gay marriage, and just go on living your lives. Besides, marriage isn't all it's cracked up to be. There is all sorts of work needed to make a marriage work. Also there is lots of bickering, nagging, and such. Just stay partners, doing your deeds in private, and enjoying life. There is no need to continue to try and force everyone to accept your lifestyle, because the fact is, the majority of Americans NEVER will.
If you want to be accepted, quit making your lifestyle so public. When you constantly throw parades, kiss-ins and protests, you are bringing attention to the fact that you are gay, which has the exact opposite effect of your ultimate goal; to be accepted, undiscriminated against, and acknowledged as no different from anybody else.
The government and the people of this country aren't telling you that you can't love who you want to love, sleep with who you want to sleep with, or live with who you want to live with. The people are simply saying, leave marriage alone. Honestly, be happy with the freedoms you have, and move towards acceptance of lifestyle, not acceptance of your values superseding the majority's. You can keep pushing, but we will ALWAYS push back.

I’d be far more likely join their cause if they were lobbying to stop treating married couples and single folk differently. Government should not be in the business of encouraging or discouraging our (legal) activities.
The author misses the point.
It’s not that they don’t want the gov’t to interfere in their lives.
They want to use the power of the state to force the rest of us to accept their lifestyle as “normal” like ours.

Throughout history, societies have recognized marriage as a special relationship between a man and a woman, that is normal, natural and essential to a civil society.
If you want to get mugged, raped, murdered, etc., your best bet is to go to a neighborhood where marriage is not the norm.
The government does very little to “encourage marriage”. For the most part, all government does is record marriages and allow the couple to be treated as a unit, rather than as two individuals, for many legal purposes. This simply reflects the reality of the marital relationship, that the two have become one.
Yes, I agree - but so are the marriage laws. If they are willing to alter the marriage laws then I have no doubt they will try to change the tax exemption. My fear is that maybe some Obama bureaucrat will try to issue a regulation.
The goal and motivation is the Marxist demoralization of the nation generally, and **specifically** the children in our government schools! Oh! Once gay marriage is declared official state policy then the Marxists can freely, and more easily, introduce homosexual indoctrination into the government schools. Look at the arguments used against David Parker in Massachusetts.
And...Finally, the conservative media ( Rush, Beck, OReilly, Hannity, etc.) will **totally** ignore this issue. Why? Because they are posers and entertainers who **use** conservatives to further their own self interest. When tyranny comes they will not be our nation's patriots. They will instead spit shine the jack boots crushing our necks.
You are correct that the push for gay marriage does not make sense if marriage was the goal. But...Marriage is merely one step to the larger goal: DEMORALIZATION!
If we remember that demoralization is the real goal, then everything gays( parades, kiss-ins, blood on churches) do makes complete sense.

Ian McKellen Rips Pages Out of Bibles
It’s always interesting to observe people’s reaction to the Bible.
Some find it inspirational, others threatening.
Evidently, Sir Ian McKellen falls into the latter category. When he comes across the Good Book in a hotel room, he routinely rips out certain pages.
The openly gay “Lord of the Rings” star looks for pages like the one in a section of Leviticus, which condemns homosexuality.
“I’m not proudly defacing the book, but it’s a choice between removing that page and throwing away the whole Bible,” McKellen told Details magazine.
McKellen has apparently inspired others to engage in the same self-censorship of Scripture.
“I got delivered a package of 40 of those pages... that had been torn out by a married couple I know. They put them on a bit of string so that I could hang it up in the bathroom,” he explained.
Apparently, McKellen and his spiritually similar friends are under the impression that with a shred of a page the Bible can be “adjusted” to their liking.
Unfortunately inaccurate.
The margins of defeat for the gay cause keep getting narrower. If this trend continues, and I don't see any countervailing indications, then they will eventually begin winning such contests.
Once a few have been won, it is likely there will be a rush in other states to weigh in on the "tolerant" side.

I am fed up of hearing of those who have no clue that it is about marriage, love, etc.
We can still love others but not have the urge to have sex with them.

These folks are much more anti-American and anti-western civ than they are pro-anything.
Their opposition to our society is based on hatred and contempt for its values rather than a positive belief in anything else. That's why they can so quickly switch between gay, Marxist, environmental, feminist and multi-cultural "reasons" for their opposition.
The opposition is the key issue. The various rationales can be switched at a moment's notice because they aren't really interested in them other than as a convenient club to hit us over the head with.
That's also why nothing we do to our society could possibly satisfy them. There will always be some reason requiring its destruction, in their eyes.

I just told them all that they were at a fancy dress party and they were brothers and that they were not really kissing and did not mean to touch each others arse.
If they wanted to help their cause they would stop going on with their agenda, stop acting like they think a homosexual should act or look and stop getting in peoples faces.

Actually, a more likely scenario has the Supreme Court deciding gay marriage is a constitutional right and states have no right to discriminate against same-sex couples.
Certainly no harder than finding a right to abortion in the Constitution.

It is no accident that nearly every commercial, Ad, TV show, and movie has an openly gay person or character on it these days. They did the same thing for the blacks. It's basically affirmative action for gays.
Gays make up about 2% of the population.
Blacks make up about 14% of the population.

Bill Ayers is a deeply committed Marxist. The teachers he trains and influences are Useful Idiots who are the anti-Western Civilization activists that you correctly identified.
I continue to respectfully disagree. Ayers and Weatherman reinforce my point. If you read about their actual movement, they were FAR more interested in destroying the American system than in what would replace it.
IOW, the hatred and contempt for America came first. The Marxism was just a convenient rationale for justifying the hatred. They did not develop a hatred for America because it was insufficiently Marxist.
Any other rationale will do just as well. My point is that the opposition is much more important to (most of) these people than the rationale they use to justify that opposition to themselves and others.

Gay activists’ talk about “tolerance” and “acceptance” is a mouthful of garbage in light of the way they treat those exercising their right to disagree with them.
Gay activists’ behavior shows they want power and control, not mutual respect. Their entire modus operandi consists of exploiting people’s fear of being seen as a hateful bigot.
Their propensity for the arts makes them all the more powerful over our culture and people’s minds. They churn out movies, books and TV shows that promote stereotypes about conservatives, and pit heroic, noble homosexual characters against violent rednecks who have no human qualities. The impressionable have fallen for the meme of the noble gay activist and the wicked conservative. Disapproving of homosexuality is becoming shameful and stigmatized. This is why I cannot stress enough what a tragedy it is for our side that so many conservatives look down on the arts. The arts can be more powerful than any business or army, and this power currently rests in the hands of those who want to trample us.

Which is why my family does not have cable, satellite, or rabbit ears on our tv(monitor). I buy the movies that we think are good for the children and that is what they watch. It is amazing how few problems we run across when the children don't have a whole raft of tv shows telling them to rebel or be disrespectful.
I said the same thing a few monthes ago and got flamed big time. I got called a racist by several people because I pointed out how disproportianate the tv shows, etc, are.
