The Obama Revolution Is Over
Cross Action News ^ | 11/4/09 | Matt Gurney

One year after President Obama swept to power on a promise of “hope” and “change,” American voters got an early chance to pass judgment on his administration. If yesterday’s Republican victories in Democratic strongholds like Virginia and New Jersey are any guide, they don’t like what they see.

While results from around the country were still coming in at press time, the outcome of the race in Virginia is proof positive that the sands have shifted beneath the administration’s feet.

I disagree. This is merely a single battle victory at the opening of a long war. The finish line is very far away at this point, but we’ve got the momentum. If we fail, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Obama wasn’t watching the returns. Gibbs said he was watching basketball. Sure!

there never was a revolution, just a bunch of empty rhetoric from our first affirmative action president.

These elections were just the first skirmishes before the real battle 2010. And the war won’t be over until 2012. No need to celebrate or give up yet.

Don’t be complacent. This time next year we want to put a stake through the “0bama Revolution” and kill it for good.

Not until something serious is done about ACORN and like minded marxist groups.

The Obama “counterrevolution” is over. Unfortunately its death spasms may yet cause much damage.

You know when I think about it, this is probably TRUE. As immature and unpresidential as Zero is, I can see him watching basketball while the world burns around him.

Rahm on the other hand, was probably soiling his tutu.

Now the administration has a fresh batch of new Republicans that they can blame for all their (obama’s) hard work of destroying everything in this country on.

-until last week, it was all inherited from Bush.

-after this election, all the misery will be because Republicans won so big and are destroying things again.

it’s NEVER obama’s fault.

I take these elections as a good sign, for now the “squishy” Democrats will start to edge away from health “reform” and Cap and Trade. I suspect there will be further “delays” on these bills and that at some point they will die a quiet death. If the Dems get hammered in 2010, there will be a stampede away from Obama.

“Obama wasn’t watching the returns. Gibbs said he was watching basketball. Sure!”

Well. I have no doubt that gansta ball is much more interesting to Zero than the future course of the country. Doesn’t surprise me at all. What Gibbs fails to realize is that he just told the nation that, once again, our idiot president is goofing off rather than making a decision about our troops in the field. All totally believable to me.

I love my tagline - I forget who I ripped it from, bless his soul - but I’m sorely tempted to replace it with

Who is Sarah gonna mess up next? ‘Mess’ = another word I shouldn’t post.

Come on, he had to rest up for Wednesday night music party at the WH.

Barry is too much of a true-believer to read the tea leaves and make a mid-course correction like Clinton did. This is going to be a battle every single day until Jan. 20, 2013

There was a lot of reluctance on the part of “moderates” to back some of the more radical Bam plans like CapNTax and HealthCare, now one would think that these moderates will run like scared rabbits from these proposals.

The Demos have a real problem, they are staring a 1994-like loss in 2010 if they do not get some things fixed, and fixed fast. Americans are not on board with the massive deficits, especially since it has resulted in distasteful bonus to Wall Street bankers and 10% unemployment. They want their HealthCare to be modernized, not locked up in some bureaucratic labyrinth of absurdity. Americans want energy independence thru free market reforms, not a massive and incomprehensible system of trading carbon offset credits.

And most of all Americans want the economy to improve, and improve fast. This recession (I know the MSM says we are out of it), one of the longest ever, dooms the CongressCritters in power to obscurity if we do not see significant improvements by spring. That is unlikely given the fact that Bam is philospohically opposed to any free-market ideas (tax and regulation reduction) and these are the ideas that will turn it around.

What will be interesting is if/how the Bam, Nancy and Harry tack to the center. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a new Speaker come January. Who wants to run in 2010 with their name attached to these 3 jokers?
