Just in case you haven't heard. Christie won New Jersey. Hoffman lost New York. Bloomberg won his third term. And McDonnell won Virginia.
I've gathered together in the video section some of the concession speeches and acceptance speeches.
Has the wins in Virginia and New Jersey helped the Republicans in stopping health care reform? Does Doug Hoffman's loss in New York signal the Conservatives are not as strong as we think?
Will Bloomberg run for a fourth term?
That’s odd. I’m fixing the links.
We stopped a leftist RINO disaster in the tracks. Hoffman narrowly lost becuase of the GOP being stupid and running Scuzzy in the first place which led to the loss of several thousand votes, which would have gone to Hoffman, had he been the GOP candidate, not to mention the absentee ballots that went to Scozzafava and were cast long before Hoffmann gained momentum. NY 23 sends the message (at least it should) to the GOP that we won't put up with RINOs and will take them down.
So you think that there will still be Conservatives as willing to run in 2010 as they were before Hoffman’s loss?
Good results all around.
It is a miracle that Christie won in NJ. Not that he wouldn’t have the votes, but that the dems couldn’t find a way to cheat and steal the election away. Praise the Lord!
And as mentioned above, the Hoffman/Buttafucco (or whatever her name was) debacle turned out well, as at least the NY GOP will know better next time than to run a RINO in that district.
Also, Newt should learn to STHU next time!
It would have been better if he had won. But yes Conservatives will be motivated to run in 2010, because they see that they have the overwhelming support of the Republican base and a fighting chance.
Hoffman’s loss was solely due to GOP incompetence. Hoffman could have won... but Dede never was close to a win, and that’s the lesson for similar RINOS nationwide. If the GOP wants to win, they need to run Conservatives.
I predict we hear how ineffective Sarah Palin and the Conservatives are from the MSM today. They have to do something to distract from the other races.
Of course. It will be 24/7 spin to paint this as a “stake in Palin’s heart” and similar tripe.
As far as I'm concerned there shouldn't *be* a next time. The old bag's proved himself to be an educated nonentity unworthy of recognition. A fool. And certainly not a voice representative of the conservatives or conservative movement any more than the Steele buffoon. Neither have a clue.
Nobody even heard of Hoffman until a couple of weeks ago. Given that, i’d say Conservatives have done just fine, and the pub leadership had better stand up and take notice from this. We are the backbone and the real spine in the GOP and if they don’t pay attention now, we can move them out. Heck yeah, Conservatives will run because they WIN.
And if they don’t, we will be quicker on the trigger next time.
That clown doesn't deserve being in the same frame as that Lady, never-mind same stage.
The sight of the old goat literally makes me sick.
And he'd have everyone believe he has an ice cube's chance in hell running for POTUS, eh?? LOL
Newt, McCain, Lindsey Lightloafers et al need to be mocked publicly.
Newt needs to be called out for the rest of the week for what he did in NY-23.
A lot of tomatoes hitting this week with a loud smacking sound.
Then he's an unperson, airbrushed out.
I never fail to tell our congressman and senator's staff that there ought be no collegiality.
It's war for the survival of the Republic.
Think it'd help, Phil?
While I'm n Hannity fan I leave him alone because supposedly he's on our side. But when I see 'em do as you've noted above? I have to wonder who's side ol' Hannity's really on. Just saying.
"Newt, McCain, Lindsey Lightloafers et al need to be mocked publicly."
Amen, and shunned.
They've earned no less.
"Newt needs to be called out for the rest of the week for what he did in NY-23."
Week??
HA!!
How 'bout forever, and that's only for starters. LOL
"A lot of tomatoes hitting this week with a loud smacking sound. Then he's an unperson, airbrushed out."
From your lips, my friend. ;^)
"I never fail to tell our congressman and senator's staff that there ought be no collegiality. It's war for the survival of the Republic."
Indeed it is Phil, indeed it is.
Actually, he can go away as mad as he wants to be. I do not give a diddly about whether he’s mad or not. Just shut up and go home.
Probably not the wisest thing in the world for us to profess our disdain for this weaselly Vichy 'pubbie, my friends.
The quisling mediots catch wind? They''ll shove his face down out throats, make HIM the "voice" of the conservative movement. It'll get to the point we have to gag. Nes pa?
From now on then, Landru states publicly he *loves* Newt Gingrich. :o)
/sarc a li'l reverse psych can't hurt.
Acorn in NJ must have been sleeping. I was waiting for the last minute surge of voters all night as happened all over the country in 08. We can’t win them all but this is a start.
“What do you think? Will New Yorks 23rd make a diff’ in the long run? “
Not in anything government wise, but it will make a difference in the GOP I hope.
[Hoffman lost New York]
If only O had campaigned against him, he would have won.
