Sarah Palin: A Victory for Common Sense and Fiscal Sanity
Facebook ^ | 11-03-09 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 11/03/2009 9:51:37 PM PST by euram

Congratulations to the new Governors-Elect of Virginia and New Jersey! I’d also like to offer a special word of support to the new Lieutenant Governor-Elect of New Jersey, Kim Guadagno, the first woman to hold that office.

Of course, the real victors in this election are the ordinary men and women who voted for positive change and a return to fiscal sanity. Your voices have been heard.

The race for New York’s 23rd District is not over, just postponed until 2010. The issues of this election have always centered on the economy – on the need for fiscal restraint, smaller government, and policies that encourage jobs. In 2010, these issues will be even more crucial to the electorate. I commend Doug Hoffman and all the other under-dog candidates who have the courage to put themselves out there and run against the odds.

To the tireless grassroots patriots who worked so hard in that race and to future citizen-candidates like Doug, please remember Reagan’s words of encouragement after his defeat in 1976:

“The cause goes on. Don't get cynical because look at yourselves and what you were willing to do, and recognize that there are millions and millions of Americans out there that want what you want, that want it to be that way, that want it to be a shining city on a hill.”

The cause goes on.

The race for New York’s 23rd District is not over, just postponed until 2010.

This is true, by the way -- don't let anyone forget that a month ago, Hoffmann was a distant third.

Sarah's endorsement flushed the RINO, and in typical backstabbing fashion the RINO dropped out at the last minute while endorsing the DEM.

Newt and Steele suck.

Sarah has the proper attitude to carry on despite setbacks.

Cheers!

I’m reading “Sarah” (got it free at a TP).

SHE IS A RARE BREED! Todd Palin is probably one of the luckiest dudes on the planet! Imagine being married to this INCREDIBLE woman! She gives me goose-bumps.

Today at the hardware store, a guy commented (positively) on my Palin 2012 bumper sticker. He said D’s and R’s are both scared of her.

NY-23 sends a real message to the GOP.

45% of the electorate voted Conservative. 6% voted Republican.

Now, to the GOP, do you really want our votes or not?

She can be The People's president. The heck with political parties... I think this new governor of Jersey is of the same cut. A real populist who wants to clean up NJ. Voters like that. They are sick of the Slick Romneys and the overbearing Obamas. They want someone who will roll up their sleves and just get to work efficiently running the government nightmare.

First and foremost, they want your money. And then, if you do vote for the RINO candidates they shove down your throat, then so much the better.

This woman exudes optimism. Combined with intelligence, foresight, grit and candor, it is left without an iota of doubt that Sarah Palin is the only person to support for the GOP 2012 Presidential nomination.

The GOP wouldn't care if they never got more than 6% of the vote; however, if that translates to them only getting 6% of the dollars, then they might change their tune.

Help the GOP find its roots -- quit giving them money.

Though I am just speculating as you seem to have all the answers.

Rove and all at fox news seemed happily surprised that owens beat hoffman. Rove compliments rahm emanuel for getting dede to endorse owens and “stealing one”. That tells us all we need to know. Brett Baier was trying to temper his giddiness.

I agree...Hoffman can continue the campaign either as a Republican (if the GOP is smart) or a 3rd party option, continually gaining momentum till next November. There’s plenty of time for him to compare the differences between himself and the JACKASS party as well as what illustrate that there is no difference in the DUmocrat and what would have been if voters chose the RINO instead - cover for DUh-bama, Pelosi and Reid to claim the “bi-partisanship” they’ve been longing for (just to pass the blame later).

For him to pull off what he did with a split vote - 30 days into a campaign without the party backing him says alot. If nothing else, the victory was sending the RINO packing in shame while giving the GOP a shot across the bow as a warning to what will happen nation wide if they choose to back RINOs instead of conservatives in 2010.

Waaahhhhh!!!!! Maybe she should stop children from running into traffic. Maybe you should have sent him some more money or maybe the RNC should have picked a conservative from the start so he’d have time to work on his campaign. Gov. Palin has her own life and her schedule doesn’t include every little whim of people too lazy to do the work themselves.

Well we know who does lead - the grand lady of Alaska, Sarah Palin.
Amazing, though incomprehensible, that some people are now slighting Hoffman as unelectable in the first place because he was too 'ordinary', and not a 'good politician'. Ordinary and not a damn 'politician' are exactly two traits desirable in a candidate. No less an authority than Thomas Jefferson would have avidly supported a candidate such as Doug Hoffman. So it's no surprise that Mrs Palin did. And as our next, and first female, President has stated, the NY-23 race wasn't lost it has just been postponed until 2010!

Conservatism won yesterday and its leaders have made themselves conspicuously known:

Sarah Palin & Michele Bachmann.

Not at this time, but there is talk of her starting her own non-profit issues PAC that will be unveiled about the time Going Rogue is released. I’d guess that she would start cross-posting to that site. Her Facebook page has been under attack to trolls called forth by the DNC, so her own secure site would be a better forum.

SarahPAC did donate the maximum amount, as stated in Palin’s original endorsement announcement. I don’t know if it is true or not, but I head that Hoffman’s advisors advised him not to invite her to campaign for him. My guess is that 2 or 3 campaign stops would have attracted huge crowds, and generated enough enthusiasm for Hoffman, who by himself is rather bland, which may have carried him to victory, but we’ll never know.

The cause goes on.
