Here is video of Rush Limbaugh on his radio show today where he said the New York 23rd Congressional District special election today is a "turning point" for the Republican Party and the country. The election of Doug Hoffman could result in more conservative GOP candidates running all over the country in 2010 and 2012.
Limbaugh says NY 23 is where "conservative Americans are drawing the line." He says this is creating great distress among both Democrats and "Rockefeller Republicans." . . . (VIDEO)

We’ll see. It may be wishful thinking. Isn’t NY23 generally a conservative district?
Yes, it is. But I think he believes it will be a “turning point” in the GOP, because here is a place where an establishment, moderate/liberal Republican was anointed, and the conservatives rose up there and insisted on supporting a conservative candidate.
That could result in many more truly conservative candidates running as Republicans in 2010 and beyond. Like you said, we’ll see. But I think he’s on target.
