"You know the thing I think that makes us different from other people around the world, is I think Americans still have a strong streak of independence. And an even stronger streak of independence from government. And attempts to control things by government, tend to nettle Americans, and to draw resistance. And the liberals and democrats continue to think that the desire for security, and for comfort, and for assurance all the things that youre supposed to get from a socialistic system, that those factors are going to outweigh those streaks of independence and self reliance. And I think what the Obama administration is going to discover is that the desire for security and comfort will certainly not outweigh this strong streak of independence that the American people possess." - Duncan Hunter 10/27/09
Read the complete interview thanks to Pissant Special thanks to Russell Scott and J.A. Madison. I stand ready to serve on a Hunter campaign to defeat socialism in America....

The only way for Hunter to get any traction at all is to say something absolutely infurating to liberals that normal Americans agree with. Its a fine line, but it can be done.
Great. Bring both of them to the Party, but I am still a Palin supporter. Actions.
Palin/Hunter 2012. He can be her Cheney!
He’s done that his entire career. But if he’s going to run again, he’s going to have to find novel ways to get attention and cause a ruckus.
“Palin/Hunter 2012. He can be her Cheney!”
Palin/Cheney 2012. She can be her Cheney!

Agreed. Make some noise, Hunter!
More blog face time Ping
I ***TOTALLY*** agree. Conservatives had the very embodiment of Ronald Reagan offered up in the last election cycle, and failed to support him.
Hunter, DeMint, Palin, Cheney, and a few others clearly love their country. They need to work together, and avoid making negative comments on each other. Hopefully one of these people will win in 2012. It really shouldn't matter too much which one.
Where has Hunter been? I’ll stick with Palin, she is out there working.
Hunter is on a month long hunting and fishing vacation. He is finishing his book on the Iraq and Afghan Wars as well. But he also has done fundraisers for this guy

And this guy...

My personal belief is the Press was so afraid of Duncan, because of his true conservatism, they spiked any and all stories on him and refused to ever print his name.
Most Americans never heard of him and his run for Pres because he was almost never found in the Press and that, IMHO, was intentional on their part.
Like to see both get in the ring.
No, he's already said that he wouldn't run as anyone's VP.
I like him, but could we find anyone more dull?! He's not going to fire up anybody.
Bump for DH
Then we get to talk about the traitors among us and Duncan gets some ink. It's a twofer!
Doug Hoffman is not exactly Mr Personality, but he’s got the backing of all the top conservatives. And I’m glad he does. They recognize that he’s a Reagan conservative.
Those same people should be encouraging people like Duncan Hunter.
Personally, I don’t need a sparkling personality, I just want a person in office who loves his country and has the ability to run it - and Duncan Hunter fits the bill.
Thanks for the ping. B4DH.
