Sounding more like an independent than a Democrat, Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., tells ABC News he will campaign for some Republican candidates during the 2010 midterm elections and may not seek the Democratic Senate nomination when he runs for re-election in 2012.

I know this is the WaPo, but how does an independent who was chased from the Demo party be characterized as going rouge? I am stunned here, this has to be written by someone who graduated from an ivy league college or something.
You are a “Maverick” if you are a Republican turncoat, you are a “Rogue” if you are a Democrat turncoat.
Whether you're a Dem or Repub, you still have to promote and defend the conservative principles of the Founding Fathers and the Constitution.

I think they are trying to tie him to Sarah Palin with the “Going Rogue” line.
If “going rogue” is good enough for Sarah, it’s good enough for Joe.
Whatever one wants to say about Lieberman, he’s his own man.

When Republicans betray their party, they’re called “Mavericks”. When an independent goes against Democrats, they’re called “traitors”.
