How could Cheney have done that? Makes me sick. Especially after all she’s done to keep the border open in Texas.

What’s up with Cheney supporting Hutchinson? I saw that story yesterday and was surprised and disappointed.

"What's up with Cheney supporting Hutchinson?"

It's the Washington way... It's probably a payback for something Hutchinson did for Cheney sometime in his career. Either that or she has pictures...

Does it have anything to do with gay/lesbian issues? I don’t know how Kay Bailey compares on such with Perry.

But VP Cheney has a lesbian daughter.

Otherwise, I’s surprised at Cheney’s endorsement.

You never know with these things.

Perhaps Kay Bailey at one time gave Bush/Cheney vital support in the WOT on some issue(s).

I can see them returning a favor.

Where are the Cheney’s registered to vote these days? Not in TX, I assume. Virginia or Wyoming? Just curious...I know it has no more to do with his endorsement than somebody’s from Alaska!

I love stories like this. Gives me a good laugh. Hopefully it teaches a few people a lesson. Like I always say, if you’re dissappointed, your expectations were too high.

REMEMBER THIS,TEXANS:

Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress

“One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchison’s amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.”

The NRLC gives Hutchinson a 100% pro-life rating on three Senate votes for 2009-2010 scorecard to date. She voted against the Mexico City policy, for SCHIP and against the UN Population Fund. Hutchinson also opposes funding for military abortions and opposes Partial Birth Abortion. Yet she supports Roe v Wade.

Rick Perry supports abortion rights in cases of "rape, incest, or maternal health" only. Sounds like he opposes Roe v Wade.

Looks like Dick Cheney chose the wrong side in this battle.

Perry’s either shifted rightward during his time in office, or he’s doing a good job of fooling people.

I watched the local Fort Worth TX NBC 5pm news. They mentioned that they had earlier asked folks to email them about their thoughts regarding Cheney’s endorsement of KBH.

They said that the vast majority of the emails were negative in nature; that people felt it was wrong for Cheney to back her instead of Perry.

Several of the emails were shown on-air and indicated that they thought Cheney was just a hard core GOP guy who had been asked to support her by the RNC, so he did.
