Just one year ago, would you have believed that an unelected government official, not even a Cabinet member confirmed by the Senate but simply one of the many “czars” appointed by the President, could arbitrarily cut the pay of executives in private businesses by 50 percent or 90 percent?
Did you think that another “czar” would be talking about restricting talk radio? That there would be plans afloat to subsidize newspapers— that is, to create a situation where some newspapers’ survival would depend on the government liking what they publish?

I read a lot of futuristic, dystopian literature, and a new theme I'm seeing is that when America goes broke, her creditors use either the UN or NATO to occupy our soil so as to secure the assets, like timber coal, humans, etc.
5 years ago the stuff I read was considered pure craziness; now it inches closer to reality every day.

A couple of days ago Rush played some clips of Obama praising the benefits of centralized control of the power grid. It’s old enough technology. What’s new is the “audacity” factor.

Scarey question, and I wonder too. But at the same time: isn't that exactly what zero and his goons would want? Chaos and violence in the streets--"a crisis too good to waste"? I remain hopeful that we take back the house and senate and then we neuter the dems next year; by forming committees to investigate and fire the czars and ax all the redistribution dreams.

Also remember that much of the Russian and ex-Soviet leadership want us to pay “Reparations” in the trillions of dollars to them for the collapse of the USSR, as well as the 200+ billion we owe them.
