After a weekend of intense consultations with fellow Democrats, Senate majority leader Harry Reid has decided he has the votes to get a health-reform bill with a public option to the Senate floor. "I believe we clearly will have the support of my caucus to move to this bill and start legislating," Reid declared at a news conference Monday afternoon.

The next election is a topic I am interested in. I am Generation Xer and I speak with others in my Generation all the time. I have been trying to speak some sense into these idiots.
They are NOT listening, unless we do something NOW we will lose the next election.
9 out of 10 Generation Xers are so mad at Bush, they won’t see past this socialism/communism that is invading our Country. They are clinging to like a Life Preserver!

I like the idea I heard this morning. Instead of Opting out, how about the idea of “Opting in”? To do anything, do people realize how difficult it would be for a State to Opt out? Would they hold special elections? When would they do it? How much would it cost? Would the Governor of each state make the decision or would the Legislature or would the people? This whole thing is getting crazy.

I am not sure what is the feeling in Vegas. Down there it has so many whacked out libs. But up here, we can’t stand him.
I would imagine that in Vegas, the money will control the election. Like I said before, have elections in two or three counties at a time......strictly controlled and all voters verified. Then go to the next two or three counties and do the same thing. It would cost but what is the price for the peoples voting rights?

Yup. Schumer was blamed for the House loss in 94 as well because he pushed gun control. Looks like he’s doing his magic again.
Schumer is disaster on TV. Hope we see his mug a lot.
But you are right, we must have more control to eliminate possible fraud. Funny how not one “battle ground” state went to McCain... NOT ONE. And yet there were tons of voter fraud issues in EACH of those states.

They are not hearing enough from their fellow generation. Beck is a boomer and so is everyone else trying to speak out. They think we are just in it for Bush, and not for the better of our Country. We need a GenXer to stand up like Beck, one that wears baseball hat, plays video games, but also understand the importance of the constitution and our founding fathers. We will lose this fight if we don’t. They out number us now!
