He creates something that is both profoundly absurd and believable at the same time...This supposed hoax that he is reported to have fallen for, is all about the NFL...
He wanted to show how riled up and excited people could become if they were presented with information, false information, that they wanted to believe about someone...
Rush himself on Friday: "However, I have had this happen to me recently. I have had quotes attributed to me that were made up, and when it was pointed out to the media that the quotes were made up, they said, “It doesn’t matter! We know Limbaugh thinks it anyway.”
Did Rush know this was a hoax all along? Did he simply use the absurd to demonstrate the absurdity he had gone through with the NFL?Stay tuned…

Of course, it could also be that the media KNEW Limbaugh knew it was a hoax and hoaxed him and us by pretending it worked.
Of course, we could all KNOW that the media KNEW Limbaugh knew it was a hoax and hoaxed them by pretending to believe the media reports that Limbaugh believed the hoax that we believed but the media knew that we knew that Limbaugh knew.
Considering the timing, I think it is highly likely. Rush is not that sloppy. Most people don’t get Rush, and this is right up his line.

He may not have said it in his Thesis but he did say those things in Interviews.

Rush isn't going to do anything on his radio show today. He said he had to take the day off, unless that was a hoax also.
I thought it interesting that WINS (news radio in NYC) reported this story about Rush having been duped this morning. If, indeed, he was duped it happened three days ago and he mentioned on the show that the story might not be true.
And, besides, I have two questions for WINS: 1) Who is this Limbaugh guy; and 2) What really is in that Obama thesis and how come supposedly real news organizations don't care that they don't know?

Rush doesn’t need to make this particular point with his audience. We are rather familiar with the concept of “Fake but Accurate.” It is the general public that needs to learn the lesson.

I don't know for sure, but I would bet that Rush was in Pittsburgh yesterday sitting in a sky-box suite enjoying his favorite NFL team, the Steelers beat the now (6-1)Vikings. How's that boycott thing working out for everyone?
Okay for me. No more Sunday or Monday night NFL TV unless the Giants are involved. Once you give it up, it's easy.

I’m a Viking’s fan. I enjoyed yesterday’s game even though the Vikings lost it. The way they lost it bummed me out enough to not want to watch anymore football the rest of the day. I’m sorry about your Giants losing to the Cards.
I think they must realize they have been had. They were reading this story sometime between 6:10 AM and 6:30 AM this morning, but I just searched their site for limbaugh thesis and nothing came up.

Doesn’t matter if it was a hoax.
obama is coming apart at the seams and being EXPOSED.
He will not get the benefit of the doubt, NOR does he deserve it.
This will be easily believable to many who were on the fence about him.
