Barack Obama declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency today. Over 1,000 people have died from the swine flu in the US this year. The AP reported:
President Barack Obama declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency, giving his health chief the power to let hospitals move emergency rooms offsite to speed treatment and protect noninfected patients.
The declaration, signed Friday night and announced Saturday, comes with the disease more prevalent than ever in the country and production delays undercutting the government’s initial, optimistic estimates that as many as 120 million doses of the vaccine could be available by mid-October.
Health authorities say more than 1,000 people in the United States, including almost 100 children, have died from the strain of flu known as H1N1, and 46 states have widespread flu activity.

I don’t believe ANYTHING the gubmint tells me. If they told me that today is Saturday, I would assume my previous assumption since morning was now wrong and reassess the situation.

Once again I see the true emergency: a lack of dictionaries in Washington, D.C. They don’t seem to know what the word “emergency” means.
Well...I wouldn’t get the stuff put in me even if he did give it to his kids.
I don’t trust anything that comes out of Gibb’s or Obama’s mouthes. We will never know the truth on whether they all got the vaccine or not..no matter what they say.
I can’t get the vaccine where I am in California. It is only available to that are high risk and uninsured in a very limited supply. If he gave it to his daughters now, everyone would rip him for giving to them before the tax payers who paid for the uninsured to get the vaccine could get the vaccine. Let’s wait to see what happens when it is available to the people that pay for there health insurance. Then we can rip away with a good conscious.

Obama gave 10% of our limited vaccine supply to the WHO to redistribute globally. He’s is very generous with American people’s lives.
Secretary Kathleen Sebelius now has authority to bypass federal rules when opening alternative care sites,...Some hospitals have opened drive-thrus and drive-up tent clinics to screen and treat swine flu patients.

...as soon as they started this mess, I knew that no member of my family would be participating in that gov’t plot. I was doing clinical at a local children’s hospital where they are forcing every worker to get the H1N1. Obama is trying to drum up a crisis to be the hero of and people can see right through him.
I keep reading different things about H1N1. I’ve read it’s not an epidemic it’s actually weak and waning. I’ve read it’s nasty, I’ve read it’s nothing. They push the vaccine, then they don’t have it. They have it, but, there going to give it to other countries before we get it. I think the whole bunch in Washington are completely nuts. I don’t trust a thing coming out of Washington anymore, nothing.
The child is well recovered now. The question remains, "how did the Dr. know it was swine flu?" If this case is reported as swine flu, how many similar cases are reported as swine flu? Does that not skew the numbers and give the appearance of a "national emergency"?
I hate thinking I may be part of the conspiratorial crowd, but....
